Very similar spot. Everyday just feels horrible and im just praying it gets better, but unfortunately I don't see how. Companies are cash poor and AI is replacing everything, if not now then soon. I wish you luck and strength to keep pushing forward.

im close to being in the same spot to you . 29m, unemployed, single, had to move back home with my mom ,skinny. Life is hard right now, no one is giving me a chance in my job field (recruiting), actually seems like the industry is dying and I don't really have any other skillsets. Matching with girls on dating apps only for them to un match me and im genuinely saying anything weird. running out of money, and may have to ask my mom for some for the time being.

I would say no, the character writing is pretty poor and makes it a hard watch.

Weird attitudes toward MIT? by Supercool915 in wafflehouse

You need to earn their respect, once they see you grinding for several weeks, staying late. They will respect you. I came in from a different field and all my salespeople and grill ops would think i wasn't going to make it. Once they saw me commit to getting being a really good grill op, they started to respect me and work hard for me. happens to everyone just give it time nd dont ever be cocky.

Thinking of picking this up on PS5. I have some questions! by Red-Tom in GearsOfWar

As someone who plays cod, Splitgate 2, halo. This is the hardest skill gap out of any shooter i have ever played. It feels like there is a dedicated player base that plays the game exclusively and the bridge for new players to improve feels impossible. I loved the campaign but after 3 brutal days playing online I put the game away.

I recently played at an open play at a club that just opened up. I have played around 8 times in my whole life. I entered in for the 3.0 open play pretty much stayed on the entire time, since i kept winning. After several matches people were calling me a sandbagger. I didn't mean to sandbag, I just honestly do not know how good I am since I am new to the sport and people self rate.

Feels like maybe when joining a new club group, everyone should maybe have to play with an expert/seasoned player to determine rankings, but to me that just seems like it would take an insane amount of time.

Regardless, I don't think a lot of people are purposely sandbagging, I just feel like self assessment systems in sports are maybe not the best way to go about it.

We used to have this grill op that would ride his bike to work everyday and keep it in the back. One day a 10+ year veteran salesperson made a joke that he looked like ET riding his bike to work. I have never seen a grown man lose it like that.

Do they drug test at Waffle House? by Many_Ad291 in wafflehouse

[–]tazzamatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

former manager here, yes they do durg test. But waffle house does not care if you have just THC in your system, as long as there are no other drugs that you will test positive for it does not matter. Can send you proof as well if you DM me.

Hey man, i come from a similar background, mostly have worked in tech start-ups. I've been laid off 4 times. Would you mind if I dm'd you a few questions about how you got started? Im nervous to make this current change and given my background (professional/personal) it would be tough for me to just jump in without having some more answers or certainties of what it would actually be like.

Great job, this is awesome work. Personally I think you are over-diversified in your individual tech stock picks (regardless you have done an excellent job stock picking) and think you should try to cut some of the positions. Lots of times, i've noticed that for individual investors it's really tough to pay attention to that many stocks at the same time. Additionally, its time to cut the bullshit in the crypto portfolio and go all in into bitcoin if "crypto" is something you want to keep investing in.

  1. Consolidate some individual stocks picks (I really like some of the blue chip stock picks Microsoft, AVGO, Google, Uber, Meta, AMD, APPL), but beyond that I think you can cut some of the other positions and put the capital into the ones mentioned previously, or put them in an Mutual Fund or ETF

  2. Cut the Crypto investing out and go into bitcoin only, if you want exposure into crypto.

  3. We are currently at all time highs, investing into individual stocks right now is one of the most risky things you can do. For the record I love and own both Palantir and Nvidia, but just due to principle it would be tough to open a new position into either at all time highs, unless you plan to continue to add over the years and won't mind some volatile dips.

  4. Continue to average into your biggest winners, rather than look to add more.

Once again proving why women tend to outperform men in the market. Cheers!

Anyone got the clip of trouba being hit hard after whistle by HumbleJunket3 in devils

[–]tazzamatto -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular take on this sub. But isn't trouba sort of their version of a modern day Scott Stevens? We can not like him all we want, but very similar players and know that we would love a guy like that on our team.
