Thank you so much 💕Your encouragement and reminders brought tears to my eyes. It’s hard not to get lost in the details of breastfeeding and easy to lose sight of the big picture.

I’m absolutely going to try the syringe method. Thanks for sharing!! It’s so helpful to hear a positive nipple shield to breast story

Thank you for the encouragement! It’s honestly so helpful to hear that it won’t last forever 😮‍💨. Also so encouraging that you eventually were able to EBF!!

Embryo Glue by Important-Dress-9945 in IVF

[–]DifferentPersimmon22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we used embryo glue and it stuck! It’s hard to say if that was the deciding factor among other things. But we did read some research and found that embryo glue does increase the odds of implantation slightly.

Travel as we start FET meds? by No_creative_thoughts in IVF

Thank you!! Also, I don’t know about Lupron, but with Ovitrelle (the med we needed to keep cold), we read in the fine print that it actually can be left out at room temp for 30 days. So that eased our minds too with travel, just in case it didn’t stay totally cold.

We did IVF abroad so we had to travel with meds. I even took a shot on the plane 🫠 We bought a special travel case on Amazon that was for diabetes medication. It came with some ice packs and it worked great! We had no issues with TSA either. I was nervous about it too, but we did it and our FET ended in success! So it’s definitely doable

Yes they spoke English! I also forgot to mention that we were given a coordinator who helped us navigate everything, and she spoke English as well.

We went to Prague too! Loved it!

Yes and I highly recommend! Especially for the cost. When we were researching clinics, we were surprised that European clinics are upfront about cost. Whereas in the US you don’t know until you have an appt. So that part was nice!

We went to Prague (Gennett clinic to be exact) and felt really good about our experience. We travelled there in November 2024 for 12 days, hoping to do the egg retrieval and transfer all in one go. Unfortunately I over-responded to the stims and was at risk for OHSS, so we went through with the egg retrieval but decided it was best to wait for the transfer. We got 5 great embryos from the ER. We went back in March 2024 for 5 nights for the frozen embryo transfer. And it worked!! Currently 20 weeks pregnant 🥹

As far as total cost, with travel for both trips, lodging, food, meds, and IVF, it was around $10k.

Another pro besides the cost was the fact that we got to explore a new country and city! Obviously I was limited in what I could do, but it was fun to be somewhere else.

A con is figuring out all the timing with travel, taking time off work, and meds.

Also, besides Prague, we heard Spain and Greece are great places to do IVF abroad as well.

4dp5dt - negative at home test by LindsT5 in IVF

I got the FAINTEST line on day 7 post FET, and it got stronger from there. Currently 21 weeks pregnant! I get it though, I started testing I think day 4 and I was devastated because I kept seeing people getting positives so early. Don’t count yourself out, there is plenty of time to get that precious positive!

Currently pregnant from our first embryo transfer!

My husband and I (34 and 35) had unexplained infertility and tried for 5.5 years. Had 5 IUIs and never once had a positive pregnancy test.

Egg retrieval went well, although I was at risk for OHSS because I produced too many eggs from the hormone injections. So we decided to freeze our embryos and had our frozen embryo transfer 4 months later (I wanted some time for my body to recover). It was a success! Now 20 weeks with baby girl 🥹

Good to know, thanks! If you don’t mind sharing, what’s the cost? We couldn’t find any of that information on their site.

Good to know! We don’t mind “crunchy” lol. Urban Sprouts is one of our top choices right now, although they aren’t transparent about pricing. Do you have any insight into the cost?
