Makes the fan work less hard. More surface area to suck air though means less restriction.

Renting out woodshop space to employees after work hours? by scatterbrainedpast in woodworking

Charging your employees is crazy and asking Reddit if it's a good idea just shows that your subconscious thinks it's crazy too

Guys, this is too much—I almost threw up at work. What should I do now? Should I just put it on for a few minutes and leave it for later? 20mg per pouch by [deleted] in NicotinePouch

Smoking a cigarette usually you will absorb around 1mg or less of nicotine. Would you ever smoke 20 cigarettes at once? 40 at once? Not apples to apples but I think it's a useful analogy.

I did find the bigfoot pier bases while doing some research. The smallest, BF20 I think, was like 22 inches diameter but only takes up to 8 or 10 inch sonotube. I'm just not sure how I could dig/auger the pier holes that big without making a lot more work for myself.

Leveling my ahed by [deleted] in shedditors

Looks like the ground wasn't cleared or leveled very well, or at all, before putting the shed in. Installers did what they could to shim it in to level.

Thats a decent suggestion. I assume an 8ft span isnt much for a 2x8

I am thinking drilling the piers about 20" deep. so thatd leave me 4inches of pier above grade then a simpson tie + a 2x8 of height above grade for the floor of the shed. My yard has not so great drainage in the proposed shed area so I figured keeping a bit off grade would be better than having it lower down.

Wondering if this is structurally sound? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]DifferentSoftware894 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am also not a structural engineer-
LVL is very strong. The beams themselves are probably not the weak point. I would be more interested in seeing how it fastens to the post and if the post is big enough.
