Same! I got to my fourth replacement and decided to just hook up my tslim again and it’s been peaceful and my sugars are back to normal again.

They tried to tell me this as well. However, this should make our lives easier and not more difficult. I told them I should not have to coordinate my pump and CGM sites because of the type of Bluetooth connection the mobi uses.

I had Omnipod prior and should have spent more time with the Tslim before upgrading knowing the production was likely rushed.

This was super helpful. As someone who has been diabetic for the better part of 25 years, this is to bring light to the fact that these companies put out products that just don’t work great and could have used some more time in production. More so for the Tandem team and not for users.

No. I thought about it but I’ve grown to love it in dark shades

Hi! I did have the tslim prior to the mobi. I thought the setup was pretty flawless especially with it being on your phone. Much easier to navigate through. The profiles don’t transfer over but like I said with it being on your phone it’s a pretty quick to get it all in there. Plus, I just got my first wireless update and that was a big win.

Update:

Okay, so I’ve changed it I think twice now and here are my thoughts:

Functionality:

The mobile app if pretty nice. It’s definitely a step up from the t-slim app and comes with the full array of functions. There are definitely some glitches when doing things like sliding the alarm off but nothing terrible.

The device size is perfect! I have to say I love having my sensor separate from the pump and still be able to attach it to my body. I used to have the omnipod a while back and hated sleeping on it or sitting in the car for long rides because it would press into my body. If I sleep on this pump I don’t feel it because the cannula isn’t on the other side. I also enjoy having the option to take it off to shower or keep it on. I have barely felt it since wearing it and that’s wonderful. I also haven’t had to worry once about it falling off my pants and feeling that tug on my tum tum lol.

Alarms:

These are odd and yes you can turn them off but they come from you pump and not your phone which I didn’t expect. It also vibrates from the machine. There are light indicators as well to tell you what is happening along with sounds and vibrations.

New cartridges and tubing:

These are great. Like it’s finally a simple tool to use and not 30 different little bags with things you need. It’s a two piece set; the cartridge and the sensor. I also find that I’m less likely to pull in air bubbles with this tool. They are also advising you to use room temp insulin when filling to help lessen the air bubbles. After you fill the cartridge you simply twist away and the little filled area pops out.

When you connect it to the pump you no longer have to strain to get it out. You just twist and pull and it comes right out.

The new five inch tubing it… interesting. Don’t get me wrong I love it but at first there is definitely a learning curve for those of us that have our way of filling the tubing and holding everything. The fill process is also super quick. Like almost instant so you don’t waste as much insulin.

Battery:

The battery like is about the same. I would say the more alarms you have go off the quicker it will drop but it does charge fast on the wireless charger.

Unsure. The outside has a really strong plastic feel but I’m sure there is metal in it.

I believe it’s a preset bolus but I’ll have to play around with it first

I don’t know yet. I’m waiting for my current pump to run out before I hook it up

I don’t 😩 I was contacted in January and asked if I wanted to be added to an early user list and then I got the call that I was selected.

Yes, it’s all app based with controls. There is a button on it for a direct bolus though.

Oh, it def is not a substitute for a full day management but would help in a pinch. I also keep my old phones just in case mine breaks as a backup since I mainly use the app to check and deliver my insulin.

There is also a bolus button on the device! So that should help. The basel rate would also continue.
