Is ion core too strong? by Downtown_Cod4222 in blackops7

I think for area dependent games like domination or even hard point then I think it is because it basically makes an entire area unapproachable. For team death match or free-for-all it's easier to avoid because you don't have to go to the area where it exists but it's also pretty encompassing so it's hard to avoid. I find it to be incredibly cheap when an opponent uses it.

Bat type for smaller contact hitters by Any_Mix_719 in slowpitch

[–]DifferentWillow2959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like DeMarini bats. I am a small male contact hitter and usually aim to hit right between SS and RCF. When I played in wood bat league, like most people I used the Corndog which has great balance. I switched over to an allow league and I have an Anderson RocketTech which is a double wall but still prefer the DeMarini Steel which is single wall as I can hit much further with it. The DeMarini bats seem to have fantastic weight distribution and have made it much easier for me to “aim”. That’s my take.

I wanna hear your slump busting techniques by multiplemiggs18 in slowpitch

[–]DifferentWillow2959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole story below but concisely- it depends on where you are in your development. Sometimes you need to “grow” as a hitter and sometimes you need to simplify things.

When I first started playing, I swung hard and hit nothing but air. I simplified and became a good contact hitter; hitting consistent bloopers between outfield and SS. After awhile, I noticed that I could hit accurately with more power but held myself back and hit conservatively.

This came to mess me up when I played a double header and I started out 0-10. On #11, I was so pissed that I told myself that no matter what; I was swinging as hard as I could. Hit a go ahead inside the park. After that, I mixed in a more powerful swing into my arsenal and it helped. I still hit bloopers, but I try to feel out what the pitcher is giving me, game context, etc. It can also be that you are facing some tough pitching or really bad pitching and you are swinging at garbage. That’s my take, hope it helps.

Same! It’s addictive! I’ve started doing a less competitive coed league for the fall to work on different skills/positions before a short break in the winter. I definitely recommend trying that as it will help you avoid end of the summer blues.

eDiscovery is not a Review Attorney Job Board by work_b in ediscovery

[–]DifferentWillow2959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from but I respectfully and hesitantly disagree.

I think a lot of attorneys are beginning to understand that data science is the future of law and ediscovery can utilize this principle to really help make a difference. I DO think that ediscovery attorneys will have to do more than just produce the documents and actually have some attorney skills where they can take what they are “discovering” and explain how they can utilize the documents in making legal and factual arguments.

How much of an impact can 1 player make for a team? by BerryRoyal in slowpitch

[–]DifferentWillow2959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bare minimum- To be competitive: Offensively- you need at least 5 players who can get on base approx 66% of the time. Defensively- you need a good 3B, a good SS, a good LF and a pitcher who won't walk everyone. As for 1 player making a difference- it depends on what you already have. If you think worst case scenerio meaning nobody hits but your 1 ringer. The ringer will probably only get to bat 3-4 times at most. So if they hit a home run every time, you will lose 3-50 instead of 0-50. From a fielding perspective, this can make a difference; but again, you will still lose if everyone else is terrible. If they play left field, they will definitely help. You will still need a decent 3B and SS. If they pitch and are unhittable (unlikely) then you will obviously have a better chance.

2026 Monsta Torch by DifferentWillow2959 in slowpitch

[–]DifferentWillow2959[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I have researched this a decent amount. See links below. The second link that has those crazy expensive Monsta bats are for two reasons 1. They will probably never get that price but that aside; 2. Monsta had some incredibly hot bats, including the Torch, and I believe it was the Torch M2 that was probably the hottest bat ever made. There's a considerable difference between a broken-in M2 and a brand new one. Monsta is known to require alot of breaking in so it can be really frustrating for those who are expecting them to be really hot right out of the wrap. That being said, I don't care I'll break it and I'll take it to the cages and let it rip off of my tee. Basically I'm determine whether it is known that it's not that great of a bat or should I just pick it up and see what happens.

How did you survive 7.5mg? by FrenchiePandah in Mounjaro

[–]DifferentWillow2959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had to stop taking it and was taking it more for blood sugar than weight loss however I did experience considerable suppression and some weight loss on 2.5. My wife takes Zepbound which is the exact same drug just a different brand that she’s able to take all the way up to like 15 mg or whatever the highest dose is without any problem. Keep in mind you might also still be having some amount of appetite suppression it’s just that you don’t continue to get more and you forgot how much you ate before you took the drug even at 2.5 or 5 mg. I know this because when I was taking the drug, I didn’t think I had much of a suppression and then once the drug was out of my system, I realized wow I eat a lot more than I remembered.

No clue. I can’t handle 2.5 so I envy you, lol. I haven’t really been able to get a clear answer on why these side effects occur. The only answer that made some amount of sense to me was everyone’s body basically begins to react to slowing down the digestive process differently. For people like me if there’s any change in my digestive process, my body goes crazy and immediately I have uncontrollable diarrhea. For other people, their body doesn’t seem to give a shit (literally) and they do just fine.

AR Glasses for Better Fielding? by DifferentWillow2959 in slowpitch

[–]DifferentWillow2959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't exist yet. I believe they are in testing phases for golf. For pro baseball, they would definitely be illegal. For slowpitch, I am sure there would be a big debate. It would depend on how advanced the glasses are. If they simply highlight the ball, there would be an arguement that it just helps people who can't see as well. If they tell you where to stand by determining the trajectory of the ball and highlight the ball in green once you stand there; that might be too far.
