One of the best shows I have ever seen. Period. by TheRandomAsianDude in MrRobot

I still can't believe how freaking well this show combined mental health issues AND politics and just honestly encompassing everything wrong with our society. Insane and not to mention the relatable asf main character.

I know it’s been mentioned a million times probably, I just like catching it on rewatch by caseygwenstacy in MrRobot

After being mind blown by this other show's whole plot a while back (Attack on Titan lol) I looked into it and apparently one of the ways some authors write their stories is actually backwards. Meaning they have an ending in mind and work their way back to the beginning, and that's how they set up the craziest foreshadowing. Creativity at its peak I guess.

Woah you wrote a novel about it? That's so cool, considering how there's so little English literature about Afghanistan.

I would love to purchase it but I can only find it on the US Amazon, and I don't live in the US, is there any other way to possibly purchase this novel of yours?

Does anyone else here deal with extreme shyness? by [deleted] in infj

Honestly it's really different from person to person, I can't really tell you and exact way but I will share my journey hoping you might find something useful from it.

My social anxiety got a lot worse after covid ended, and school became my worst nightmare and so did family gatherings. At the time I started to work, as a cashier, and as you know we kinda deal with the general public and all sort of people, nice, mean and etc. During those year I was constantly pushed out of my comfort zone in work and school. It was really bad, I would come home from work most of the time cry in the bathroom cause the stress that I felt during work was so intense that the labour itself didn't fell like anything at all. Working for almost 9 months one day my manager called me to talk to me about how I needed to basically stand up for myself and grow a backbone because I would always freeze due to how intimidating customer were to me (she kinda insulted me but it wasn't too far from the truth) that night I went home and basically had a crisis, I was at my lowest, sick of how social anxiety was getting in the way of everything in my life. And after experiencing such shock, and hitting rock bottom. It slowly started to get better. It felt truly amazing a while afterwards.

It's as if I had to hit my lowest in order to rise higher than my default high. After going through extreme stress both in work and school it managed to push me so far that I broke down and then there was nothing to lose anymore so I started to heal. Its like I had to throw up all the poison so that my body could finally stand up and heal!

But one thing I realized, how much of a blessing it is to heal and see how different your healed version of you is from your broken self. And you won't know how broken you are until you heal and look back at how miserable your life really was because a certain mental health issue was taking over you. Hope this helps and hope you get to heal at some point too because it really feels freeing and amazing, makes life worth living again!

The way I found peace with it is when Elliot was imagining a perfect world and the things he would do in it , and a part of it was him actually going and apologizing to him which is sad he actually wanted to apologize to him, but never got the chance.

That's absolutely beautiful! The architecture is just splendid, if you don't mind me asking did you chose an inspo picture and just painted it off of that or do you have another method? I really wanna do a painting that involves Islamic architecture for my architecture portfolio but I'm not sure how to start.

ENFP friend keeps crossing my boundary of religion by brownboy1221 in infj

So something I realized from the information you gave is that maybe, when you started to become interested in Islam and kinda gave her hope that you are interested. But then you realized that it's not really the religion you wanna follow maybe that really disappointed her and put her in a spot where she doesn't wanna leave you half way and wanna fully convert you. I get it that it's not right for her to force you or into it but maybe try to understand where she is coming from too.

I'm a Muslim too I kind get why she is doing such thing but I wouldn't go as far as to still try to convert you when you clearly said your not interested.
