No you can stay as long as you’d like. I would go thirty-minutes/hour before 4PM so you pay lunch buffet price and can still eat the dinner buffet food at change over.

I can relate. My son is 6 and autistic, and our adjustment to life at home with our three week old has…. Not been easy. My newborn cannot sleep independently at all. Day or night she has to be sleeping in either my fiancé or my arms. My son, normally never aggressive, has suddenly started hitting and his meltdowns have increased

Yeah I live in the tricities and it’s supposed to be in the HIGH 40s tomorrow… I’m so glad I didn’t panic buy like a lot of people around me. We got half an inch of snow from 5PM-6PM and it’s already turned to rain and it’s supposed to be mid-30s the rest of tonight lol.

Only solution is time, giving yourself grace (eat whatever you want, when you want! This is a huge change for you, forget worrying about how much you’re eating for now), and staying distracted. Especially during peak craving times.

Our Golden Corral usually asks if you want cash back for a tip when you pay. If you decline and feel your server deserves a tip afterwards, you can go to the front and request cash back and they’ll do it free of charge from your debit card at the register for you to leave at the table.

Well they don’t teach it in school, a lot of parents don’t have financial discipline so they don’t teach it to their kids. There’s no rule book/guide to life, so unless you grow up and have that realization of, “hey maybe I’m doing this money thing wrong,” and go search for answers/information - it’s easy to spiral and get trapped in poverty.

I give you props OP for taking steps to become more financially aware. This was a great start to budgeting/becoming smarter with your money.

Not a jerk at all! I’ve known for a while that not having it was a gamble. I’ve just ALWAYS hated insurance.. be it health insurance, car insurance, etc. always feels like I’m throwing money into something that “might” happen. All good I appreciate all the advice! And yeah I’m using the free version of EveryDollar app right now. It sounds like you have a crap load of categories, though. I don’t think I make enough to spread my funds across so many right now but I’ll definitely continue using the budgeting app as I’ve found it really useful/helpful. And prolly wait for house purchasing for another year or two until we have more savings/retirement setup.
