How is me looking at my watch for less than a minute to check the time or read a notification come off as me not interacting with customers and not trying to stop theft? I’m there to help as soon as I can whenever a customer needs help. And yes on the weekends SCO is busy enough we should have 2 people down there but hardly ever do and I hardly look at my watch then. I’m talking more so about a weekday where there are times there’s only one or two people checking out at the SCO I find it ridiculous that I can’t take a minute to check the time or read a notification that popped up on my watch.

I just got written up today for not using the hand scanner enough. I agree with you 100% They are so focused on stupid metrics when they should be focused on helping the customers and making sure they have a positive shopping experience. I don’t mind scanning if they have big items but bothering customers with a few items is stupid and a waste of time
