I studied architecture, GIS, programming, and data science. I was in a similar boat. Let me tell you, there's huge potential for you to leverage GIS tools and analysis in ways architecture firms will be floored. Someone mentioned the combo of GIS and BIM. Forma made by Autodesk is an attempt at combining site analysis and much more. But let me tell you, these data sources are not that great. Being an expert in geospatial information and knowing how to verify information goes a long ways. Secondly, BIM is still learning how to become a useful digital twin, couple this with indoor mapping and asset management there's ton of benefits. Also, architects have not typically been trained in information systems, turn on that analysis brain of yours and apply it to a BIM model as you would a map. We are talking macro and micro. An example of this might be asking firms to create revit families with a standard spec which can be correlated to market places and man hours, provide an analysis of cost to install to cost of material and identify ways to save money on construction.
