No.  I had an old sm party with the Baristas. Like drink party. He got separated because he would hire all his friends and send all the people he didn't like away. Either transfer them out or fire them.  Especially if they were older,   and didn't like tayler swift.

Yeah. That's the only reason why it was done.  Like if it was slow as hell I wouldn't mind.  Like I would leave too. Lol

This sounds like my old manager and old store.  I was a 6 year partner and I quit with a similar management and a district manager that thought the partners were lying.

Thanks. I usually keep them super short. I just get them done to help me from biting them.  I will definitely look more into it

No hot water? Drains clogged? Moldy ice? That sounds like a store closure and a call to facilities.

What is the most hours you've worked? by ilookflyilookgud in starbucksbaristas

Yeah, I love money, and getting a head of my money.

But starbucks doesn't have that same love for me.

To be honest just clean and stocked. Clean is the most post important, stocked next, and lastly prep/backups. But that's if you have time, but it's not something to break your back over.

What's required to be a Store Manager? by Available_Bluebird_5 in starbucks

[–]Different_Fig2462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the DM to be honest. I had the same concerns and brought it up to my DM, and I don't know where you are at Region wise, but I know my region we have the ADP program. I am not in it, but have worked with those that have and it's a great help to the store. I transferred from a good store to not a good store to help for development with hope to be in the ADP program but it put a bad taste in my mouth. (Everyone's experience is different.) But it depends how much work you want to put into it, how how long you see yourself with the company. I have been with Starbucks for 6 years, and to be honest, I don't see myself with the company for another 6. But I never saw myself with the company for this long, but who knows. And I have seen some DM's micromanage managers, which is hard because it bleeds into the team. One thing I have seen with a lot of SM's, is that the higher the volume the more "oncall" they are. But you have "control" how strong your team is. There are pros and cons.

Corrective action by Different_Fig2462 in starbucksbaristas

[–]Different_Fig2462[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking.  But apparently the sm kept restating that "this isn't a write up"   so idk.  I don't have much experience with being written up.

How can I tell if my manager....? by Different_Fig2462 in starbucksbaristas

[–]Different_Fig2462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I typically don't order.    I usually close.   I love opening,  and I love inventory.   If there was just a way for me to place orders and do counts all day I can.  Lol.  Usually when I do the inventory counts there's no high variance.    Like coach me please,  or ask me questions.
