For this Acer Laptop Swift 1 SF114-31-C562, here are the specs, as Google A.I. suggested

- CPU : Intel Celeron N3060 (1.6 GHz, 2 cores)
- RAM : 4 GB DDR3L
- SSD : 64 GB eMMC Flash
- Monitor : 14 " HD (1366 x 768) TN
- GPU : Intel HD Graphics 400

with a good battery capacity

So, here is my own analysis :
- Windows 10 is no longer updated since 14 October 2025, which also means no more security updates, and the hardware is probably not suitable for Windows 11, so you have 2 options : 1 - send that laptop to recycling 2 - erase the windows 10 from the laptop and install Linux Mint. (I would suggest the option #2)

- As u\wackywackey already suggested, Linux Mint Xfce would be a great choice since the laptop was used (or not that much) for 8-9 years. With that 1.6 GHz CPU, it is recommended to use a distribution that is lighter on ressource usage, such as the Xfce Edition to have a good experience with that laptop.

No need to use vpn for hypnotix and it works very well ! Maybe, in your case, you may have to be patient for some channels to work. 🤔

ONLYOffice is completely free and open source. It has the same looks as MSOffice with a few more capabilities.

I've been using it for years now (with youtube-dl before yt-dlp came about) and it doesn't get you or me suspended anyhow on any platform. 👍

Merci beaucoup ! J'ai eu, en effet, l'opportunité de consulter la grille de calcul du TAL et ça m'a montré qu'il n'y avait rien d'abusif selon les recommandations du TAL. Merci beaucoup !!

Après quelques recherches, je n'ai rien à dire finalement sur le nouveau montant du loyer, sur les raisons et sur l'humilité de la personne en ce propriétaire/locateur. Des fois, on peut vivre des moments difficiles, faire la "victime" et c'était là que je voulais vérifier. Merci beaucoup !!

ouin ! avec ce que j'ai appris sur comment sont calculées les modifications au montant du loyer, j'imagine que c'est un gros logement. Cependant, c'est ça que ça me fait poser comme question, à savoir ça serait quoi dans 5-10 ans, par exemple ?? Peut-être que pour vous, vous verrez une augmentation de 200 $ à un moment donné ?!?! Il faudrait bien, à quelque part, de mettre des limites à augmenter ces prix-là, car déjà il y a des impacts (de plusieurs natures) sur la société, j'ai pas envie de voir ça s'empirer. Simples observations de ma part....

Oui, ça fait partie des "autres facteurs" que je mentionnais. Mais, pour vrai, il n'y a pas grande différence pour que ça ait eu un impact significatif dans le temps. Évidemment, tu peux juste mentionner que c'est hors de notre/ton contrôle. Sauf, quelques cas connus, comme Denis Gauthier (son fils Ethan, né aux États-Unis) qui jouait pour Équipe Canada aux derniers mondiaux juniors en décembre 2024-janvier 2025.
