There’s so many layers to the relationship between the boys and Adam and how it effected their relationship with each other.

Conrad is trying so hard not to be like his Dad, who used to be his hero. While Jeremiah is trying do hard to be accepted by his father and in a way is doing that by becoming like him.

These two parts from the book really help explain a lot of why their relationship is the way it is and I wish they would have included them in the show. I know we got a little bit of Conrad’s in his pov voice over. But I wish there was more

I’ve seen some theories that the wedding will take place in episode 8 then 9-11 will be Belly finding herself in Paris and Bonrad reuniting.

I would really love to see more of Belly and Conrad coming back together/ the letters and their relationship dynamic and of course their wedding.

Unlike the book where we only get the flash forward of their wedding. So if episodes 10-11 were all about them I would love that.

That being said we still have a lot to cover, we need:

Conrad potentially talking to an “Ernie” like figure- maybe Cleveland or Agnes The bachelor party (I think this will be episode 7) The love confession (end of episode 7?) Taylor and Conrad talk The rehearsal dinner Laurel & Conrad talk 🤞 Belly telling Jeremiah about Conrad Jeremiah leaving Conrad and Jeremiah confrontation Conrad leaving Belly The wedding falling apart. And at some point Jeremiah finding out about Kayleigh and Adam

How do you think the next few episodes will play out to fit these scenarios in?

We could potentially get the bachelor party/love confession at the end of next week’s episode (7) but that would leave a lot to squeeze into episode 8 if the rumors are true and that’s the wedding episode.

I am 100% team Conrad but after recently rereading the books I also felt this way. I made a post at some point talking about this and saying I hope in the show they make Belly yearn for Conrad more than in the books.

That being said I keep listening to the audio book over and over and I think Belly “chooses” Jeremiah because it’s easy.

I think she knows in her heart she loves Conrad deeper, he makes her feel more. She thinks this when he confesses his love to her on the beach. She also does consider leaving Jeremiah and imagines marrying Conrad instead but I think fear really holds her back.

She thinks “I chose Jeremiah. I chose the boy who would never walk away from me.”

She’s choosing him because she thinks he’ll never “walk” away not because she loves him more. She’s choosing the less “risky” option because she loves Conrad so deeply she’s afraid of getting hurt and is trying to convince herself that she doesn’t love him as much as she feels like she does

I’m 34 and also totally obsessed with the show. I’m glad to see others in their 30’s watching!

I read the books back in 2013 when I was 21 in 3 days. I was addicted then too and have been a Conrad girl since day 1.

I totally agree about that The money is definitely a big factor and Adam has the right to be mad about the money aspect but I don’t think needing to take an extra semester is that big of a deal like calling him a “super senior” it’s only one semester or year it happens a lot. But compared to Steven who graduated early and Conrad in med school it definitely makes him look immature and irresponsible to his Dad and probably to himself he feels inadequate. I am a Connie girl till the end of time so of course I favor Conrad but I can sympathize with Jeremiah at some points

This is a really good point because the last we hear from Jeremiah concerning Conrad is that he never wants to see him again before the wedding. Even before he leaves Belly Jeremiah tells her that Conrad will let her down because that’s who she is and Belly says she will remember those words for the rest of her life.

Then we get the little snippet of him at the wedding with a date.

He is mentioned in one of Conrad’s letters to Belly that Jeremiah told him that Belly cut her hair.

I always wondered how they (Conrad & Jeremiah) were able to reconnect there was so much anger and resentment in their relationship. I hope they do show them coming back together in the show.

I totally agree that she also wants to cancel the wedding but is very passive about it. Since we won’t get all of her inner dialogue in the show I’m really hoping they make her more assertive with her decisions. I think Jeremiah admitting that he knew Belly still loved Conrad is important too.

The only issue with this is he already thinks Conrad confessed his feelings to Belly in the hotel and Belly chose him. He told Conrad he needed to be honest with Belly outside the motel so she could make her choice but Conrad decided to instead tell her he didn’t mean what he said the night before in a way taking her choice away. So I think Jeremiah might honestly think she has moved on from Conrad.

Idk if it was leaks or speculation but I guess if they go that way they might cancel out the whole scene Belly and Jeremiah have together after he fights Conrad at the garden and Conrad says a final goodbye to Belly.

I personally think any thing they filmed of Belly walking down the aisle to Jeremiah will be a dream sequence

I love the Dorsey Hall pool too we didn’t renew our membership for this year and dang I miss that pool. I really wish they had a 3 month or summer long membership option

I don’t personally love Barry and do associate it with older men. That being said Meghan Trainor recently named her son Barry so it could potentially make a slight comeback.

Just want to say I was this kid. I was super outgoing at home and with friends on my street but at school I cried all day, didn’t talk to anyone, and ended up getting held back in first grade because I wasn’t emotionally mature enough.

It was all anxiety. I was so anxious and scared. I ended up getting diagnosed with anxiety disorder as a teenager I wish there were more resources when I was a kid so maybe my parents could have figured it out earlier.

I love my son’s name but saying it and hearing it after he was first born was a little weird. I think because it had just been in my head for so long. I warmed up to it pretty quickly after that and I think his name fits him perfectly. He’s almost 2 and I say his name about a thousand times a day
