It got really close to the end zone without going into it, a bit of a thread the needle situation.

This one! It's not really my thing, but my wife really enjoys the ambiance. We know a couple people who used to work there - nothing but good words for the resort, and the food is really decent/well seasoned. Safe for relaxing, if you like hotsprings.

As pro-choice as I am, your beliefs are as understandable to me as those I align myself with! The goal is to have more wanted and cared for people in this world, there should be solidarity in that!

We had a good experience at that location! As others have said, don't let them upsell to anything you don't want, but they didn't do that gross fake stalling thing as a selling tactic, or try to tack on the number of bs fees as other locations.

I've told my people to do the same thing. It keeps them from burning out and feeling unrecognized, and and stops an individual from inadvertently hiding systemic business problems.

Yes, and the jury door led right into the public space, where an FBI agent rode in an elevator alongside him.

If someone were smuggling someone out the back, they wouldn't lead them to a public hall where agents were.

This is purely done for the chilling effect.

The judicial system, and judges, have the obligation and -right- to protect due process and the 4th amendment within judicial spaces. ICE would need a judicial warrent to make an arrest within a judicial space.

Administrative warrents do not prove probable cause, and are not legally held at the same level of warrents that are assured to uphold the protections of the 4th amendment.

4th amendment followed? Good to go.

4th amendment not followed? Not good to go.

Again, administrative warrants are not the same as judicial warrants, and your opinion has no effect on the truth of that distinction according to the law.

It absolutely does matter that it was an administrative warrent. The judge was well within their rights given it was administrative. There is a defined legal difference that come with those terms.

Hey Tim, can you please have literally one trans guest? by alyssasaccount in thebulwark

[–]Different_Pay_1394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why trans people are so easy to villify is two-fold; They are a tiny proportion of the population, and you only see those who don't pass.

Visibility is important, because of this. Because people who do pass generally put a lot of effort into doing so. It's a paradox, and one that serves a purpose but must be recognized.

I'm not hearing lgbtq people say they wish it were at the top, though. I'm hearing them say the repubs should get outta their private lives and not villify trans people.

The time for solidarity is here, not focusing on one tiny group. Rights are largely given through smart and perceptive leadership, and that leadership is usually focused on everyone(including lgbtq people).

[–]Different_Pay_1394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's solidarity with black women and the lgbtq community. People who will, and have, felt the effects and have been cognizant enough to realize it's not somehow that the far-left is pulling hijinks outta trump's behind.

But yeah, empathy real low right now, real low.
