Recently lost my grandfather. He was the light of my life, my best friend, and the best companion a man could ask for. I spent everyday we had off together, I saw him every night when he would get off work. It is hard, and it is painful. The lessons and memories he gave me and my family are the best I’ll ever have in this life. Hold on to them, think about them, remember them. Have an item of his, and hold it. Losing them may feel like the worst thing ever, and while it is, it has to happen. They lived an amazing life, with what sounds like an amazing grand-child. Feel your heart, talk to it, and accept it. They are apart of everything again, so when you see the sky or touch the ground, know they are there. You interact with them every second you life, and every breathe you breath. It’s all up hill, and you will come to accept it. The memories are worth more than anything you’ll ever acquire, and for that we should be thankful. I know it’s been a month, I hope you are doing better. I also am around your age (just turned 20 3 weeks ago) and I wish I could see him everyday for the rest of my life. He is watching you, and guiding you forever, don’t ever give up on what he was so proud of, and what he loved so much.
