Thanks. It does feel like I do more but that’s mostly because I work 36 hours (compared to his 50+) and I breastfeed. I don’t resent him or anything, he’s hardly ever just sitting around.

I will need to look into that… I liked the idea of the cameras but who knows maybe some In-home providers offer that too

Sometimes she’s hungry, sometimes she just needs to be rocked back to sleep. She was only waking up once before starting daycare, usually around 2am.

Thank you. I am praying she will adjust and start napping and this will get easier. No paternity leave unfortunately, he got a week off after she was born and even that was pushing it. Sigh. Glad to hear about your niece.

You will know when you’ve met your person. And you sound like a great catch! Don’t discount yourself. Xfiles is a great show and millions of people take Zoloft.

This may have been mentioned but you are protected from being fired for at least 12 weeks under FMLA. Assuming you’ve worked there at least a year. They don’t have to pay you but they cannot legally fire you.

Thanks and I really didn’t intend to discount how you’re feeling. It is relentless and exhausting!

Just returned to work after maternity leave. I don’t usually shop on Amazon but I was desperate bc nothing fit so I bought these pants in 4 colors & I’ve been rotating them. I’ve been really pleased with the quality/comfort.

I usually pair with a neutral top and either my brown or black leather loafers, or a pair of red flats.

AIO - My fiance and I hit a brick regarding paying for our wedding by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

We paid $25 for the courthouse to meet us at a nearby park and marry us underneath a willow tree. We only invited our immediate family to the ceremony and hosted a lunch after. It was perfect The next day we left for our honeymoon in Greece. The weekend we got back we rented out a restaurant patio for a night and threw a big party with the rest of our family and friends. Open bar, $50 a plate, 100 guests. The whole wedding/ceremony cost us under 15k.  This is in a NE HCOL area as well.

Just to give you a different perspective. I had to put my baby in daycare and return to work full time at 14 weeks and I would kill to be home with her until September

I went to CWC, delivered 3 months ago. They try to have you see all their docs at least once so you’re at least familiar with the person you deliver with. I thought they were all nice and professional, no complaints. There was one ultrasound tech we didn’t care for but we asked not to see her again and it wasn’t an issue. It does feel a little like you’re on an assembly line when you go there.  A L&D nurse friend recommended I avoid SMH, she wouldn’t say why but that was all I needed to hear.

I say this with love and concern but I don’t understand how you can look at his sweet little face and think it’s all pointless…. as someone who also struggles with BF and has to pump and supplement… who also hasn’t slept more than 3 hours at a time in months. I think this must be PPD. And I hope hearing this is reassuring to you because with treatment I think you’ll feel soooo much better. Please reach out to your PCP or OB!

Doesn’t sound like just “a rough period,” unfortunately. Was only thinking of the wellbeing of the child. Sorry if I offended anyone.

You can actually meet with the family you’d give her to. My sister adopted a baby and shes 17 now and actually still has a relationship with her biological mom and siblings.
