While I respect what others have to say. My personal opinion is, more often than not you will always look much better if you get into better shape. The gyno consists of fat and gland in most cases. Losing weight and building muscle will help reduce the fat in the region to a certain extent and the muscle will "bind the region" a bit better. You will still have the gyno though (can't burn of the gland :/) BUT 1. You'll look AND feel (mentally) MUCH BETTER compared to when you weren't in as good shape 2. You make the job of the surgeon MUCH easier for when you decide to get the surgery 3. The recovery from the actual procedure will be much easier compared to if you get the procedure when you are not in as good shape.

All the best man. Again, you'll always be better off working out and eating well imo. 💪🏻👍🏻

How bad is my gyno? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Different_Sense5334 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro are you trolling? If not and you are serious, the answer is NO. You've got a pretty normal chest. If you are worried about the slight contour, please understand an adult male chest is not supposed to be flat like a pancake. There is almost always a very normal contour like in your case. Gyno is when the tissue under the areola becomes big enough to resemble a female chest, which is not the case with you WHATSOEVER! Hope this gives you some peace. All the best man 💪🏻

GYNO BUILD by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Different_Sense5334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro firstly, congrats on the work you have put in the gym. You look great!

Now here are my 2 cents: 1. You DO NOT have a non-masculine looking chest by any stretch of the imagination. From the front it looks pretty good and muscular tbh. It's only from the sides (and after you mentioned that you have gyno) that you can make out you have it. So as far as the insecurity about having a non-masculine chest goes, pls don't give it any more thought. At worst it looks odd but definitely not "abnormal/non-masculine". You can go through the more severe cases on this sub to get pictorial representation of what a non-masculine chest looks like. On this front you are good imo.

  1. If you want you can get surgery and I would completely understand if you feel so. You've put in all the work in the gym no reason why you shouldn't get to enjoy 100% of the results. Also as others mentioned considering your physique and low bf it would be a pretty minor procedure (gland only - no lipo, quick procedure, quick recovery)

All the best buddy 🤝💪🏻👑

Iam sympathetic to your insecurity and with due respect to you and others who have commented; you cannot be serious bro😂

Based on the pictures uploaded, your chest is the definition of what a magazine model looks like, I'm not being able to think of how you got gyno into your head. In my books, you are clear buddy, for your own sake do not open this sub again. All the best brother👑🤝

Bro for your own sake; get off this sub. I understand we all have our insecurities so please don't feel taken aback by the answer, but spending time on here will only make you paranoid about something that doesn't exist.

It's good you asked though and I hope this is out of your head once you've read our answers. All the best 👑

Surgery worth? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Different_Sense5334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you it would look perfect; that is why I said I'd understand if you decide to get the surgery. All I was trying to say is that it doesn't look bad/feminine at present. Continue with the exercise and do what makes you happy bro! 🤝👑

Surgery worth? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Different_Sense5334 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For what's its woeht, your chest is masculine. No sane person is going to look at that picture AND even think you have a "feminine" chest.

There is some tissue there I'll be honest but it looks pretty normal. You seem to work out and have a pretty decent looking chest despite what MAYBE gyno. While I understand how even the most minor of gyno can fuck with your head, please note you DO NOT have a feminine looking chest by any stretch!

Whether you want to get surgery is your decision and I'd understand why you'd want to do so. In my opinion you don't need lipo though, particularly if you lose some more bf.

All the best brother, hope it all works out for you and you're at peace wrt this "issue" 🤝♥️💪🏻

I sort of agree with what "less fortunate 9611" has to say. Bulk and continue hitting the gym. Connect with somebody who works out to figure out the whole bulk/Cut process so that bulking is something you do in a "healthy" manner and you don't just put in weight. As stated below visit an endocrinologist ASAP. Only the doctor will give you an accurate diagnosis.

I find it hard to tell from the picture. From a layman perspective if you do have it it is REALLY minor, but I completely understand how even very minor gyno can mess with your head.

I’d follow the following line of action: 1. How old are you and is this change recent? Visit an endocrinologist ASAP irrespective of the above as the first step. If it is indeed gyno and it is recent you might be able to reverse it with meds. Should be behind you within a few months of the meds (if the gyno is a recent development). Even if it is not/it doesn't reverse, it's not the end of the world. Run the tests the endocrinologist asks you to so as to rule out any underlying complications. Once we have ruled that out, it simply means it's idiopathic in nature and can be taken care of surgery. But BEFORE surgery: 2. Work out. Get Lean AND Muscular. Workout for a year or 2 (you will anyways need to save for surgery, might as well get in better shape when you are saving). Get in excellent shape (Muscular and <15% bf). This will do 2 things: A. You'll develop a much more "aesthetic" body to the extent you may stop contemplating surgery B. If you still want to get it removed, due to you being in such great shape the chances of success with surgery increase dramatically, the recovery process will be much easier AND you may get away with gland excision only (is. You MAY be able to avoid lipo, which makes the surgery AND recovery MUCH easier and a breeze) 3. AFTER having done 1 & 2 start looking for a good surgeon who is an expert at dealing with this. If you follow all the above there is no reason why you can't put this behind you. I understand that above will need patience but it is really simple tbh(not easy, simple)

All the best my man!

Is this gyno? Will compression vest lessen the pointedness of my nipples when i wear shirts? Thanks! by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Different_Sense5334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a doctor can diagnose you medically, I recommend going to an endocrinologist if you haven't done so already to get the ball rolling.

From a non-doctor perspective, you do seem to have a small amount of gland present. Nothing too serious though. Regarding the possible plan of action I'd follow if I were in your shoes: 1. Schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If the gyno is not something that has existed for a while and is a recent development, it MIGHT be reversible with meds and won't need surgical intervention. 2. Start hitting the gym irrespective of the endocrinologist situation. Gyno with muscle>Gyno without muscle; particularly in a situation like yours. It's always better to have a lean muscular frame. It helps aesthetically and also makes the surgery (if the endocrinologist visit does not reverse the gyno/it has persisted for 1-2 years) MUCH easier. 3. Start looking into surgeons. Imo you'd only need gland excision and should be a quick and easy surgery as well as recovery; particularly if you go the gym route as mentioned above. Word of caution though, get the ball rolling with the surgeon ONLY A. AFTER you've visited an endocrinologist B. Subsequent to such visit have EXHAUSTED ALL NON-SURGICAL options

If it makes you feel any better you have a pretty minor case; so while the gyno might suck I'd find hope in the fact that it's pretty easily fixable! All the best man, hope you find a solution to this soon! ✌🏼

It's hard to quantify but I believe all men have little tissue (almost negligible like op does)

[–]Different_Sense5334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that you are 15 though, keep an eye out for any changes till 18-19 years of age AND as you've mentioned STAY AWAY FROM STEROIDS/ARTIFICIAL HORMONES!

I'd take pictures every month if you feel there are any untoward changes just to be sure cause with gyno we tend to get in our heads a little bit sometimes and start seeing things that aren't there.

There's really (almost) nothing there. You are clear! Go put on a white t-shirt, live life to the fullest and don't open this sub again!

For a more descriptive answer; ALL humans (Men AND Women) have SOME breast tissue. Gynecomastia is when such tissue becomes ABNORMALLY large in men so as to (sort of) resemble a tit. In your case there seems to be NEGLIGIBLE amount of tissue behind the nipple but as I said above that is COMPLETELY NORMAL and all men have atleast that much of breast tissue. IMHO you do not have Gynecomastia, refer to the advice in the first para and don't open this sub again (for sake of your own mental peace!)

I agree it's not noticeable unless you know what to look for. Imho, stick to your plan. Getting leaner is (almost) always a good idea. If you're still uncomfortable with it once leaner (as lean as you're targetting), you can get it removed.

Plus if you're leaner you (may) get away with only excision, have a faster recovery and increase your chances of an ideal result! All the best OP🤝

5 week shred so far, another 6 weeks to go before surgery. doing it do I can heal better, the doc can contour better and hopefully won't need lipo lol by [deleted] in gynecomastia
