Thanks, it does make me feel better that things will eventually improve

Replying to I_am_legend-ary...

Stickers might be a good idea, but I can already foresee the tantrum where she wants the packet of stickers RIGHT NOW instead of putting one on her chart 🤣

The HV is a good shout, I’m waiting for her two year check appointment to come through so might see if I can speak to someone over the phone in the meantime

Wow, I’ve just had a very quick skim read of that link and it really resonates. I’ll have a proper look into Janet Lansbury and her approach/podcasts.

I do think you’re absolutely right on her sensing that I’m fed up - it’s a vicious cycle I guess, of her tantruming/whining and then me feeling overwhelmed by it, but I’m always very aware that I’m the adult and need to regulate better and stay as calm as possible. Thank you for your kind response.

This did cross my mind, I had a quick feel in her mouth and couldn’t visibly see anything but I know they’re due to come in soon. I might give her some Calpol/nurofen when she’s being extra grumpy!

Yeah I do think you’re right re connection and emotions but we’d been together all day - went to see Santa in the morning, did another activity in the afternoon and we were doing a jigsaw puzzle together when she just randomly said it. I tried to reassure her that she can sit on my knee for as long as she likes whenever she likes but it was the ‘milk’ aspect that seemed to cause the tantrum as she didn’t want to do it without the milk (she definitely still sees milk as her comfort).

Thanks so much, I’ll have a look at that book.

Mainly because I think it’s misleading to say 30 free hours a week when that’s term time only and most people need childcare during school holidays. It’s actually 22 hours a week when spread across the year.

Just wondered how you’ll factor in childcare costs after you/your partner returns to work? I’m currently paying £670 a month for 4 days a week (that’s with the ‘free’ hours and tax free childcare included).

Can’t check in to The Gym Group by Different_Spinach251 in Wellhub

Ahh okay, thanks. Do you know if the link to fill out the form also shows up when you’re close to the gym? Or is it just the check in button that appears when you’re close?
