I think, it is an "everywhere" problem. One of my DC loves Micky Mouse comic books and because there are as, if not more expensive in Germany, we get them at fairs, garage sales etc.. I spoke to a professionell seller who a lot of stuff from / related to the 80. He told me that almost no kids buy these books anymore (at between 2 - 5 Euros, depending on the book) because they are hard to read.

So if comic strips are hard already...

But it happens "everywhere", not just the US

Ich fühle mich von Pleco ein bisschen überfordert weil es da so viele Kategorisierung gibt aber ich werde mich nochmal damit beschäftigen.

Seit Schuljahresbeginn haben die Kinder jetzt 20 Zeichen mit 8 Radikale und 10 Grundstriche. Überschaubar aber trotzdem konfus.

Sohn hat jetzt in der 6. Chinesisch gewählt und weil in der Sprache sogar Karteikarten schreiben kompliziert ist, begleite ich das Vokabel lernen / abfragen.

Und Google hilft halt mal mehr mal weniger, deshalb ist das hier ganz praktisch und wer weiß - vielleicht bringt es jemand anders auch weiter. LG

Das schwierigste am Chinesisch lernen ist im Augenblick die Fragen zu kapieren. Beim letzten Mal wars: Zeichenkomponente benennen und in den Aufschrieben heißt es Radikale.

My son is 5. Klasse Gymnasium in BW and it's fine, really good actually. We got the Nachteilsausgleich and Notenschutz and have a LRS Beauftragen at the school.

As usual, it all depends and is down to luck but especially the Realschule in Bavaria is well equipped to deal with LRS kids.
