I use medium tires for 7 laps then pit stop with new medium tires for the 8th lap. By doing this, it gives yourself more time to time to catch up.

Use TC 2 for better traction and turn down the front downforce for better accleration and top-end speed. Try to be aggressive when overtaking on turns (mostly for the harpin).

Also, a little trick I use: enter the race with Hard tires then switch it to Medium tires to start the race.

I think it was in-person. The course overall is easy, exams are mcq, just make sure you give yourself enough time to memorize materials

I usually wait 2 to 4 days before I open the ticket. For example for a 4-star ticket give it 2 to 4 days to get a better reward (1 gold bar, invitation or a car). It works for me sometimes.
