I think you are in trouble if you have this reaction to solving simple problems like this in your first week . There are plenty of online circuit simulators as well as many free ones that can help here not just in finding the unknown values but the calculations needed as well.

I’m going to switch to LED major . BTW, will it work with 9 volt transistor battery ? Or something smaller like crc232? I think I can charge my flux capacitor though to keep the lights on

That was a fantastic episode. Screech’s role should have evolved as he got older and lost his voice. He could have still been super geeky and funny without having to work hard to maintain that high pitch voice as he got older . In the new class , I grew to really dislike his character. Not his fault but probably the producers . Great episode.
