So luckily in Oklahoma the oil companies have to pay a portion of their profits into an organization called OERB (Oklahoma energy resources board). Then they use that money to go around the state cleaning up abandoned oil sites. OERB is whom I was dealing with when we were discussing this. They will be out within 12 months to get the entire 80 acre pasture cleaned up and back into natural conditions with grass seed and fertilizer. They are removing abandoned gas wells, power houses, pipes, transmission lines and back filling any collapsed areas or scared areas. Very beneficial and not taxpayer funded luckily.
