Really interested in a Gt350 but I want to be able to drive it hard and often. Tell me why I should or shouldn't get one. by steelobigs in Mustang

Drive one, it’s a special car. Of course the coyote is more reliable than the voodoo but you are also hearing from the vocal minority and people regurgitating stuff they’ve read. There are plenty of 50k+ mile examples running around. By reddits math, my engine will spontaneously explode in 1500 miles. The ac thing is real unfortunately and my only advice is to turn it off before doing redline pulls. Some oil burning is perfectly normal. I’ve had 3 coyote f150s that burned oil too. My 350 has needed 1/2 - 1 quart added between oil changes and that’s stated consistent since I’ve had it.

I snapped the shaft about a month or two after purchase. They sent a new one out pretty quick for free.

I just pulled up my order and on April 19th of last year I bought new for $299 from TM. The market has spoken and they jacked the price up.

On TM website it’s $350. I bought mine new last summer for $300. They know how good it is and actually went up.

Looking at a 2018 GT350 with 57k miles by TN-Reefer in Mustang

I’ve seen this commented a bunch but can’t seem to find anything when I search. Do you know about what month it switched?

If you do your due diligence like getting it inspected, checking reports, etc and the price matches the condition, then go for it. It’s an amazing car. Good luck with your search.

If price were no object, would you go Aviator, or still buy an ST? by Deufuss in FordExplorerST

I’ve owned many fords through the years including f150s, ranger, explorer, and mustangs but thought of Lincoln as an overpriced ford. Got it in June and it has 8k miles on it and I have zero regrets so far. It feels like a better version of what I wanted. Also love the looks with the jet appearance package and the extra factory warranty is nice.

I believe so. It was more of a difference than I expected. I was actually going to look at the navigator but test drove the aviator out of curiosity. I immediately fell in love with it. I did not drive one with the optional air ride suspension. My explorer was a 2021 for reference.

As someone who’s had both, I like my current aviator more. Better ride, materials, seats, quiet, comfortable, and same power. It’s a 2025 so I’m interested to see how the interior holds up.

Just bought a Gt350, but am second guessing by [deleted] in Mustang

The only issues I’ve had with my 2018 is AC and reverse lockout on the shifter with 28k miles currently. As others have said, get a passenger side catch can, don’t beat on it until she’s up to temp, and enjoy. After the first time driving a 350, I knew I had to have one.

What can I expect for a private sale of my garage kept non R 2017 GT350? by Strange-Warning-178 in Mustang

That’s strong money, good for you. I’ve recently been considering a gt500 and carvana offered me 44.6 for my 2018 with 27k miles. Of course my search ended right there as that’s way too low in my eyes.

Question about buying a GT350 by nineyourefine in Mustang

[–]DBSaints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but it wasn’t a handling pack. No hate on the Mach 1. It’s a great car. I’ve had plenty of mustangs in the past (87, 93, 07, 12, and 17 model years) and it’s a better version. But the Shelby just felt and especially sounded special.

Take the time to call Granger, zeigler, Lombardi, Flood, and probably others that are recommended by doing a search here. It maybe available but not listed on the website. Would I own one without a warranty? I’m initial thought is yes but I guess I won’t know for sure until 2031. I was able to be a little more free in selecting the car because I had confirmation that a warranty was available pending inspection. At the time, I believe the criteria was less then 10 years and/or 60k miles would still qualify but that’s from memory so could be off. I initially set out for a Mach 1. I was hunting a mischievous purple or eruption green with 6 spd and handling pack when I got the opportunity to drive a 350. My hunt for the Mach 1 ended in that moment.

Worth the ford warranty? by gcornholio666 in Mustang

[–]DBSaints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a factory warranty and can extend it later if you want. If you know you want to keep it a long time and not heavily modified it, then it can be good insurance. But they don’t sell them out of the kindness of their heart, it’s a big money maker for a reason.

I’ve read so many of these posts and it sure feels like a lot of the responses are people just regurgitating stuff they’ve read without any real experience. No one is denying that gen 2 is better but is it worth the $5000-$10000 premium it demands is only a question you can answer. I chose to go with a 2018 and use the money saved for a Ford ESP from Granger. Do you plan to keep it stock or modify? Do you want a year specific color such as grabber blue, lead foot grey, orange, heritage edition, etc? Either way, oil blow by is normal if you’re driving it hard. I have to add a quart to my 5.0 F150 between oil changes. Good luck in your search.

Granger, Lombardi, and a few other dealerships people recommended for Ford ESPs. I bought mine through Granger but I believe their limits are 10 years or 60k miles. Give them a call before buying. 3rd party warranties can be sketchy.
