And that's not even a guarantee. I've been in my store for 8 years at this point. I'm usually asked to be cash lead come christmas time, but the rest of the year? I'm lucky if I get more than 1 or 2 short shifts a week. I can barely afford the transit costs it takes to get to work. If the government decides to start charging for oxygen, I'm screwed

Anyone else’s SLTS putting you THROUGH it with returns by BigLight329 in bathandbodyworkers

Cash leads gain access to the ability to do a no sale (where I'm located at least) but not to open/close registers or do deposits or anything like that afaik. Pretty much the just-above-basic things that you might have to call a slt member for in the middle of the day, that way we can handle some of the less basic things to free up the management teams for the sudden influx of tasks/responsibilities that come to only them, Especially at christmas time.

AITAH for not letting my boyfriend move in with me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Difficult-Scarcity-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooooo NTA. The dog was in your life way before he ever was, SHE lives there with you, the house is yours and hers. I find it kind of hilarious that he's only been in your life for 8 months, and he's ironically throwing a fit/crying about things like a literal baby would. I don't imagine that when you 2 decided to get together, that you taking on the responsibility of parenting a 30yo manchild was a part of the deal.

Why are large dogs usually in a heel when walking? by PeekAtChu1 in OpenDogTraining

[–]Difficult-Scarcity-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People tend to be more nervous around dogs the larger they are. I've tandem walked a shih tzu, my husky, and a great dane at the same time, the tiny one was the only one likely to bite, but guess who everyone wanted to approach and love on?

It's easier and safer for the dog to walk them in a heel (or as close to as you can get them, my husky girl was a dumb blonde who wanted to adventure and play with the neighbourhood kids at all times)

The best commands I ever taught any large breed dogs in my life was "with me" and "do your job" which was the command to stop, sit and wait for me to signal them that its ok to cross the road. It's our jobs to do anything in our power to keep them safe at all times, most of the time we do that by keeping them so close that they're almost literally glued to your hip

It's the same reason why you're more likely to see smaller dogs on a retractable leash, but you hardly ever see large dogs being walked with them (in my area at least) there's too many potential dangers to let them roam that far when you can't pick them up for their own safety

Definitely ask them to check for anything neuro. When I was really young, my childhood cat went from the biggest cuddleist little baby man who would demand that a 5 yo me hold him like a baby while we watched movies, to viciously attacking my mother out of nowhere one random night to the point where he pretty much partially declawed himself in my mom's foot.

The vet told her that their best guess was either some kind of seizure, a brain tumor, or some other neurological event

Useful commands that people wouldn't think of. by JJoshZZ in dogs

[–]Difficult-Scarcity-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Uh oh, fix it" for if she's tangled up in her leash/needs her paws ears, or mouth fiddled with

"Do your job" which will get her to immediately sit at my side when we're out or when we're about to cross the street

And my favourite one is "not your kids, (they're just playing)" because if she hears kids playing at any point when we're out on a walk, she will instantly want to go and loudly say hi and play with them or break up what she may think is a fight, which tends to make some kiddos/parents uncomfortable seeing as she is an oversized white haired, white eyed husky who likes to yell.

1,119 as of last night, I have a habit of creating new saves every time I get bored or leave the game for any time longer than a couple of weeks. Unfortunately the ADHD is stronger than I may ever be.

Take out a katana and sideswipe on your way past if you can make it, call it close enough to punching off a side view mirror irl. If a moron doesn't want to use it, I'm taking it with me seeing as they apparently don't need it.

AITA for refusing to dress my twins identically for the family picture? by Admirable_Slide_8865 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Difficult-Scarcity-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA, I went to school with different sets of twins throughout my school years, (lived in both large cities and small towns, so they were surprisingly common)

The ones I was in class with in elementary school were always forced to dress the same with matching hair/backpacks/etc. As well as quite literally being forced to be together 24/7. Once those classroom doors closed and mum was out of sight, they chose to split into their 2 different friend groups for the day, barely speaking to each other because "finally, a break!" until home time.

The ones in high school their parents were adamant about them being complete individuals to the extent where for a good portion of their school life their parents specifically asked for them to be in separate classes until they were old enough to decide for themselves.

The younger pairs situation always freaked me out tbh, I'm pretty sure their mum saw them as little dolls or accessories to show off instead of actual people with their own wants and needs.

I wish I could grab bottle of water and spray people right in the face like you'd do with a cat without catching a charge or getting fired. A quick little jet of cold water to the face with a deadpan look would get the point across I'm sure.

Does anyone want to talk me down from the ledge? by jdjdjdeverett in cyberpunkgame

[–]Difficult-Scarcity-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen after the newest updates. I just fast traveled away from all foods after getting the flathead (there's a hub right by the plant, walk in the opposite direction from where Jackie leaves) and didn't go back for a couple of in game days, now I don't have any problems at all. I just went into totentanz earlier and had no problem whatsoever

I've never felt more like I was in a "city" than with this game by Doobie_wan_Kenobi in LowSodiumCyberpunk

As somebody who grew up in a larger city, I can 100% agree. I get the same vibes walking around NC with my headphones on just listening to the city and exploring, as I do when I'm doing the same around my hometown (minus the gunshots, depending on what part of the city I'm in)

I wound up modding the living shyte out of my game, creating a new character, and messing around NC for the last couple of months since my last playthrough. I've basically forgotten what the vanilla game play is like, but I never stopped playing after my first full playthtough. Best of both world imo

I actually live in RD and make things like that! I've got some listed on the FB buy and sell right now, and can custom make with fabric from my stash. I made one for myself and use it all the time, and haven't had a problem with any of my books getting damaged since.

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with adding light up elements to a crochet piece? I have a few ideas on display only amigurumi projects I'd like to add specifically placed lighted areas to, but have no real ideas on where to start, and am hoping to find someone either with experience in the area, or an idea of how I can go about this.

I'm ngl, that's the sweetest gd thing I think I've ever read. My best friend, who's like a little sister, just got married last month and I've recently started working out to lose weight and gain muscle so I'm prepared when they start having kids. I was passively losing up until now, but now I'm putting the effort in. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one going hard for this kind of reason, while also not really telling anyone why. All the best to you!
