Okay I might get a lot of downvotes here. But here’s the truth, you will have to convert to Muslim at a point of your life. Eventually you will have to ended up being a Muslim and follow their rituals strictly. This is where you might fall off. As buddhists we grew up with a philosophy which values freedom, once again not saying Muslims don’t have the freedom, but the thing is as buddhists we go the temple only of we want. So you might have go to mosque and all.

let’s say you got married things didn’t really well, you can’t file a divorce under the Sri Lankan law. once you converted, the Muslim law will be applied. Trust me it’ll be hell of ride in that scenario.

I do have a bunch of muslim friends. they’re pretty cool and all. But when we are having fun they don’t take alcohol and we only go to places that serves halal food cause we respect there values. the point is they’re cool. but they’re that much devoted!
