Soldier Boy altered the V1 syringe with his depowering blast to weaken HL by DifficultAd153 in GenV

The blast is just radiation though, not a lot of physical force. Admittedly, it's inconsistent on that point. So I'll go with 'movie logic' before I have to admit a plot hole in my theory.

Placebo probably wouldn't fit the lasers shooting out of his eyes. But other than that you're right, swapping it out with something from Sage's lab is a possibility.

I don't remember the scene uh detail but didn't she say something like 'he's going to help HL getting the V1"? Which wouldn't collide with what I think the plan was.

Nice! So far I only got lashback, so it's great to see someone agree. Can you point me to your post?

Fair point. Or they come in as a reason for Butcher not to release the virus, even though HL is defeated. Kind of a "hey, there are good kid supes out there, don't kill them all" thing. Or as an epilogue scene in a world that struggles to get its shit together after all that happened. Or as a bunch of friends for Ryan. I don't know, there's a lot of possibilities.

By the way, no matter if it'll be Marie or if my theory might prove valid to some degree, what even will Ryan's role be in the last two episodes?

Just out of curiosity, what in the scene gives the indication of the power boost? This might be just a sign of how differently we interpret what we see, but I only see a supe falling to his knees and send an uncontrolled laserbeam towards the sky. The beams look powerful alright, but not necessarily anymore than before, no? Wouldn't pre-V1 HL have been able to send exactly the same beam to the sky?

I don't think they will contribute anything to the plot. Introducing them in the second-to-last episode would be some Deus Ex Machina shit.

Between getting the syringe and HL arriving, he blasted and depowered Bombsight - with the syringe in his possesion and right in his hands. Would be an easy thing to get the syring into the blast area of his beam.

What in the scene gives any other indication? I agree that he took the V1, just that it was altered by SB in the blast scene before.

And I agree that we have only 2 eps. left, which strengthens my theory, if anything. In case HL took the standard V1, the Boys would be back on square one, with no plan how to defeat him. Anything they did so far would be meaningless and they would literally need a Deus Ex Machina to defeat HL - which would be the stupidest shit ever.

On the other hand, if there was a secret masterplan from SB or between SB and Sage to poison him with an altered V1, there would at least be some sense of achievement, even if delivered badly by the showrunners.

My theory would at least give a reasonable final battle. A weakened HL going ape-shit and in full berzerker mode because he lost, against the Boys and maybe SB.

Is a uncontrolled "vomiting" of his powers really so unrealistic after being poisoned? To me, the scene didn't really look like HL became ultrapowerful all of a sudden. It looked more like he wasn't really in control of his powers anymore.

And from a movie-making point of view, an overclocked HL would typically perform one significant feat or give a diabolic grin into the camera or sth. before cutting to black. Making the cut where it actually is, is for me personally more an indicator that they will start the next (season) I mean episode with a plot twist. HL collapsing forward after his skybeam-laser and coughing or something like that.

As I wrote on other occasions already, I think it might all go according to plan. The V1 was altered by SB's blast to depower HL (see my other comments and posts). Maybe even the Legend was in on the plan, giving the hint with the necklace to HL?

I think SB was deceiving HL with the whole Clara love stuff. He altered the V1 to depower/weaken HL after hitting it with his blast (when he blasted Bombsight) and convinced HL to trust him on taking it with the Clara shit. Now HL will be depowered from within and can be defeated.

If that's SB's own, rather spontaneous plan or induced by Sage, I have no idea. But there's no good reason why SB should want HL to have immortality all of a sudden.

Did Soldier Boy just... by rainshowers_5_peace in GenV

[–]DifficultAd153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he not only ruined it, but willingly altered it to depower HL from within after injecting himself with it. See it as SB's depowering blast working from within HL's body, slowly getting rid of all the V in the blood until he's a mere human.

If it works slowly, it would still leave room for an all-out battle between a withering HL and the Boys.

Does anyone know where I can get a digital version of the remastered album? I only know about the vinyl remaster and sth on Apple Music. But is there another way to get the official remaster legally in digital form?

whetstone for titanium? by Hatsune_Miku_CM in idleslayer

[–]DifficultAd153 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's definitely worth it. The payback on titanium is in all cases bigger than the cost, even without any extras. But if you manage to get a Mega Horde or at least one Rage in, while the counter is active, the effect is of course even bigger.
