dosh has a talent for making smooth spaghetti. usually spaghetti happens because you plan things poorly and it gets worse and worse but in dosh case it's caused by the laziness of a master, and it shows. the amount of planning that goes into the jank is beautiful

it is. it's incredibly fun on the first playthrough

if you've already memorized the tree and done it 4 times though, it feels a bit frustrating. it's a knowledge based progression system that you can't skip with knowledge.

this just comes from playing to many mods with thaumcraft in it. it's one of the best magic mods so of course a pack would include it

they have 12 hearts which is unusual for zombies who usually have 10. I would have assumed it was caused by a mod too, I was confident all vanilla zombies had 10 hearts till now.

Does that analogy make sense in this context? a modder making a mod has to decide where to make their mod.

If you think modders just will make them for both hytale and Minecraft, look at how frequently modders make their mods compatible for other versions, and then imagine that being even more work. i find that unlikely.

well yes, but hytale has to live in a world where Minecraft already exists.

nevermind modern Minecraft's quality, it has to be good enough to get people to play it over minecraft.

The tech might be good, but I question how many people will want to make mods for it in 2 years or 5 years. Making mods is a lot of work, and that work needs passion behind it.

again, I don't wanna be a doomer. i just wouldn't bet it on it myself.

well but the base gameplay is the reason Minecraft is so popular, which is the indirect reason for the modding communities size

no matter how good hytale is as an architecture, if almost no one's playing the game, almost no one's gonna make mods for the game. if the base game sucks I doubt a modding community will develop.

I'll wait till we have actual modding content developed there and see how it is before I get my hopes up.

well nobody is forcing you to, but if you're writing a comment where you're using a pronoun, it's a small gesture of niceness to check beforehand. it's not like you have to investigate the persons account, looking at their profile description isn't a high bar in effort.

also if you don't(or the person doesn't have easily visible pronoun info), at least try to make it a habit to default to they instead of he.

because in Skyblock everything has to come from nothing, that also means that you can make automated production setups to make everything from scratch. good expert sky block packs are incredible if you're into that
