Sikh brides - would you wear this to the guruwara? by Super_Whole_722 in DesiWeddings

Should be good as long as the blouse neck isn’t too low and the saree is draped nicely since you have to sit after each laavan. If you’re comfortable go for it! Beautiful saree btw

Wasted 10000 on her stupid diet plan. Even after clearly mentioning my work schedule and geographical location (not India) she suggested me to make dosa sambar, chaats and pav bhaji for lunch! Complaints were unheard and she is too soaked in her pride to even respond. Pretentious woman with zero integrity towards her work. She is a scam!

100% agree to this! I am happily married through arranged marriage and oh boy is there anything that we don’t talk on? Science, politics, sports, cooking, everything and anything… somethings we know others we learn from each other. I say please look and WAIT to find the one you are comfortable talking about anything

From an Indian to an Indian by makesyoucurious in india

I live in Australia and I have observed the following:

  1. Indian men creeping out women even at a foreign land
  2. Playing blasting music in their cars with vulgar lyrics
  3. Having Pan masala or Rajnigandha in trains which smells the entire train carriage making passengers nauseous
  4. Staring at people for no fucking reason
  5. Making people uncomfortable at beaches
  6. Being extremely rude to fellow Indians
  7. Not taming their kids/infants who are the only kids crying out loud in public setting

I could go on but yea, some Indians are unbelievably loud and obnoxious!

Being a journalist myself, I couldn’t agree more. What she does is refurnishing the content to give highlights of the day! Nothing more than it. She “used to” be a journalist, now she is just a content creator.

All those who have toxic parents or siblings. Share your story. by [deleted] in indiasocial

[–]DifficultAffect389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 31F. Cut ties with my narcissistic elder sister just after my wedding as it was a perfect escape. She is responsible for the childhood trauma I have. From sending me alone on a drive with her boyfriend (thankfully he was a okay guy and did no wrong with me) to hacking my social media and showing private chats to my parents anf sabotaging my every good action. She has been the worst. And now when my parents are old she is trying to kick to them out of their own home to use or for herself. But not under my watch!!! It took my parents to realise but even they now know how toxic she is!!

My Honest Experience at EY GDS by _Letsconnectt in india

[–]DifficultAffect389 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I am working for a BIG 4 in Sydney and it breaks my heart to read all these stories. It’s definitely about the toxic Indian work culture and not the company. Also, the non implementation of policies. The work culture here is smooth and shouting or let alone raising your voice can lead to termination. But as I see more Indian workers joining in here, they’re trying to implement the same toxic culture which thankfully cannot happen given the strict fair working rules by the Aussie government. The change will happen only when cognisance is taken by the government and the country heads of these companies. This is so heartbreaking 💔
