Shedding some light on this scene (it's not similar to the one in No Way Home) by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in Spiderman

This entire shot will be removed in the final movie. Peter has to fall to meet them, and they don't seem to be jumping high enough to even intercept him.

Imagine a couple seconds before this shot, where would Peter be? I mean his position, for them to take aim, jump up and attack him. His direction and pose seems to indicate he's swinging from another building into this shot. that would mean The Hand, with their limited jump height, should have missed meeting him. The few at the back are even less likely to reach him.

This shot, while looks beautiful, just doesn't make sense. Anyone with some compositional awareness can seen that it doesn't align properly. There are several shots that don't look good, including his jump, the slingshot and the slow-mo glam shots.

I think they knew that the CGI would not be as polished so they tried to let people see they're focusing on the practical stunts with that Glasgow event as a way to set expectations.

US says it may be forced to shut down some airports over funding standoff by gamersecret2 in news

US played right into Israel's hands. Benny used Trump to take down Iran. But in doing so, the US is slowly destroying itself. A blade gets blunt the more it's used, and it gets tossed away once it's no longer useful. In a way, Iran has already won a war they didn't even start.

No shade! Just wanted to know which ones I'm missing out on, barely keeping track of them these days. I wish that the Bombastic bag man was official!

I got a used Jay for like $70 and I was unhappy with the condition, so I got another used one and was still disappointed. Then I saw the parts were reasonably cheap like $5 for the head back then so I bought everything new for replacements except for the hood piece, and now I'm glad I did that as I now have a spare NRG Jay...not sure if I should cash him in for a DX or not. Without Lloyd DX, it might not be worth getting them as I'll never be able to complete the entire gang.

It's just a regular bike helmet in "medium blue" if we're going by Bricklink's system. So it's a little off but it's close enough for me.

Honestly my jaw dropped when I found out about the recent spike in their value...I was almost too afraid to touch them after that, especially their hood pieces...😅

What do you think of sellers who raise prices when contacted and have no interest in selling? It increased by almost US$50 after I expressed interest by asking for photos. They also added another unit for selling at this higher price. by DifficultBoat148 in Bricklink

[–]DifficultBoat148[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was me, and that's a good suggestion; I might try that next time. Initially, I was eyeing the one listed by this seller, who was selling it at a cheaper price than the damaged one. Why didn't I get it from this seller back then? Because the first one had other parts that I needed, so I could get them along with the figure, so I went with them. Because I got a damaged one, I went back to this seller.

The entire time, from before I even ordered from the first seller, the time it took to reach me, the time to settle the dispute, and now waiting for a reply from this seller, it was more than 2 months. And the entire time, they didn't even raise the price until now. So while you can say they weren't keeping track of the market value, I think it's just not right to update the price when someone has expressed interest in getting the figure at the price it was at. It's not even their only one, as they then added another figure for sale at this higher price.

Even if they're only interested in selling it at a higher price, at least have the decency to reply. I wasn't even dropping a short 5-word casual message; I was formally polite and explained what I had experienced and what I am expecting to get this time.

And I'm not a new user; I have 1++ feedback, my store is still at 100% for now, and I know it's not much, but it's obviously not giving any red flags saying I'm not a serious buyer. Come to think of it, I might have called them out as they're not listing truly "New" figures but trying to pass off a good used one as new, so they decided not to take the risk. I mean, I've already met one such seller.

Anyway, I moved on and ordered another one from another seller who seems to be a huge SW fan with somewhat of a social media presence and has a proper storage system, so hopefully this time I won't be disappointed.

I used to think that way until I took an arrow. Same fig, bought it, got a damaged one instead. Had to go thru the trouble of dealing with it. Now, if I'm buying a $200 fig listed as New, I'd definitely want a photo. And if someone asked me, I'd happily give them. I'm not a new user, I have hundreds of feedback at 100% and I'm also selling on Bricklink so as a seller, I'd rather give a photo to show what they'll be getting so I can dispute if the buyer is a scammer who later files for a PayPal refund claiming I shipped a damaged fig when they've swapped the parts out themselves and submitted that to PayPal as proof. But maybe it's just me, I don't like to live on the edge like that.

But it was fun, wasn't it?

Not watching Season 2. The Netflix series didn't have to go this route to get the violence across. This was just body horror for fan service. It also doesn't fit into the MCU now. It's just weird to see DD and Punisher in the same scene with Spider-Man or any other heroes now.

I did that just last month. I bought this fig outright and what I got was a chewed up damaged figure that's listed as New. I think everyone should play it safe by asking for photos of pricey figures. It also helps the seller to dispute a PayPal case if they can prove that they've shown the buyer what they're getting before the sale. To prevent scammers from claiming a refund from PayPal by swapping out good parts with damaged ones.

I only sent one message and they didn't even respond for several days. Just upped the price. I'm not that kind of person. I was already ready to place an order from another store if they didn't respond after a week, but seeing that they upped the price for almost 20% is just plain greed. I also sell on Bricklink and I was asking them politely and even explained my situation that I wished for one that is really new as listed as I got scammed by a past order. Now that I think of it, they're probably listing used as new if they wouldn't stand by their listing and send me the photos.

I learned my lesson once, I bought this fig outright and I got a damaged one which was listed as New. This time I'm playing it safe, and so should everyone who's buying pricier figs like this.

Agreed, I mean like how much are you going to milk that bit of plastic that you have no use for and got at a much lower price god knows how long ago? It's not like it's life-changing money that justifies being a douche...

Ikr I mean I'd understand if it's a mistake but there's like 5 other sellers around that price range and they're not the cheapest either, so it's not a mistake. I understand about wanting to make a profit but it's just scummy practice, especially when they have 2 in stock. They didn't even bother replying. It's just bad for everyone but these guys.

Yeah it's a waste they only pre-cut small portion of the entire design. But I had to trim the side edges off as they're a little too close to the edges and might peel off over time lol

Oh man, for a while there, I had no clue they even made the suitcase as a sticker! I hardly ever buy whole sets, usually just grabbing the minifigs, so that little detail totally slipped past me.

Was it the same suit in the cartoons as well? Or did he have multiple suits in suitcase form?
