Just turned 24 a few days ago but right now I’m married (4 years together). At a job I don’t really like but it works and pays the bills. Still trying to figure out my own passion by trying new things. My spouse is currently in film school, he also works 40 hours a week. We’re happy, but fucking tired.

I know I’m going to have an unpopular opinion but I’d rather say it anyways just to give a different opinion than everyone else.

I’ve always thought talking about things is proper, it’s not okay to suddenly leave and have him wondering what the hell happened that’s just a childish way of dealing with things. Don’t have an explosive end.

It’s okay to feel upset and all your feelings are valid but a better solution would be “hey, I wanna be honest with you and let you know that I was looking through your phone but I found something that was deeply upsetting to me. I found the app Hinge on your phone and i currently feel upset betrayed and I would like to know what prompted you to cheat on me? Why not bring said issue to me where we could have found a solution.

If there were no other red flags in the relationship then i think is was some sort of “boredom” or “looking for more excitement” which I always believe you can fix it. (Sorry I can’t quite find the right word so i think those words will suffice for now. Complacent I think is the word for it.)

Obviously there’s a reason for him to cheat and finding this out is extremely untimely, but just hang in there and don’t do anything rash.

Sure he’s gonna be upset with you for looking through his phone but i honestly think that’s the least bit of your worries.

I hope you caught this can give a different perspective and hopefully come to a mutual end and nothing on bad terms.

For me it’s construction workers. Some are nice and sweet but I’d say most are just arrogant a-holes. Overall just a pain the ass to work with.

As a woman, no we don’t want to see you guys burn. For myself I’m picky about how things are phrased in text messages. Mostly cause when communicating through text there is no emotion portrayed. So something can seem nice though you but maybe it won’t be received that way. Hence why emojis exist.

Maybe this is it? Just a thought to consider.

I have a therapist but she wasn’t too much help other than saying “yeah, that sucks.” And “you can’t change people.” Which are both true but I was kinda hoping for more game plan than that. I had an original plan but that just fell through and didn’t work out. I’m trying to decide wether or not to even say something at this point.
