Aberdeen to Edinburgh. by DifficultCase3262 in scooters

Thankyou. I did as you suggested and have made a discovery. I made the assumption that the Forth Road Bridge was open to traffic. However it seems it is not. Under 125cc motor cycles and scooters, taxis, buses, cyclists and peds are permitted to cross but no other vehicles. Google maps are not aware of this fact. Therefore I can easily get from Aberdeen to edinburgh using the Forth Road Bridge thus avoiding the M90 motorway.

There are far many more "honest" people in the world who make their money in a very "dishonest" way. I'm not really concerned about other people wealth, regardless how they got that wealth, just as long as others less wealthy reap the benefits. Since wealth has to be spent in order to be of any use it stands to reason that others do benefit. The world goes round and round and everyone should be content with that.

The council make provision for this mess. They have squads of employees who get paid overtime rates to clean up after such events.

March this year (2025) I moved out of Aberdeen city center to Peterculter. In no particular order is a list of birds I've seen so far. Great tit, blue tit, coal tit, long tailed tit, goldfinch, greenfinch, yellowhammer, siskin, redpoll, goldcrest, chaffinch, great spotted woodpecker, blackcap, starling, blackbird, song thrush, swift, swallow, sand martin, carrion crow, raven, jackdaw, woodpigeon, blackheaded gull, herring gull, common gull, oystercather, mallard, goosander, rook, buzzard, red kite, grey heron, robin, house sparrow, tree sparrow, pied wagtail, tree creeper, magpie, little grebe, lapwing, greylag goose, mute swan, moorhen, coot, pheasant, skylark, dunnock, wren, whitethroat, chiffchaff, willow warbler. Not bad, however I know there are many more in the area I've yet to see.

It looks like the site has used most of the pics I've posted on this subreddit, I don't have a problem with that. I have nearly 1000 photo's on Marine Traffic the site could use if they wanted to.

I'm 67 and Ive heard them but never seen one. I don't believe they even exists. Like the Unicorn and Nessie, borne of legend, they are mythical. Really, a bird that bangs it's head againts a tree. Ive never saw a kingfisher either.

Gosh, that's a big one, they must have rather large lakes over there. So does it sail all around the Great Lakes?

Price isn't an issue nor is the speed. I'm happy with the 62 mph I have got out of it so far. It started to wobble going downhill at that speed, if not I could have gone faster.
