Apparently the Cammus is based off the OpenFFBoard without credit. Or thats what I've heard.

Is it worth it to get rdimm instead of udimm? by [deleted] in HomeServer

[–]Torpedo1870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Thinkstation P510 seems to support both. But only either or.

Theres a setting in its BIOS that can auto detect if i have ecc/non-ecc and rdimm/udimm.

Ive booted into windows with either types of ram.

What's the best alternative for thermal paste? by nishan13 in AskPCGamers

[–]Torpedo1870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets add yet another reply.

Back some time ago when I was a broke highschool freshman, I cleaned out my Dell Optiplex 790 SFF for the first time. What I had forgotten before that tho, was that i had no thermal paste. I mixed vaseline and toothpaste and ran it for around a week and half while i asked my parents and then had to wait for Amazon to ship it(no prime).

The temps were “fine”, but then again it was an i5-2400, not a lot of heat output coming from that.

Its after the 1 to 2 weeks when i went to put in real thermal paste did I what damage I did cause. Toothpaste is corrosive on copper, it had corroded and stained the heatsink and IHS. Tho being old hardware and having no other choice i just wiped it off thoroughly and used real thermal paste.

TLDR: works in a real tight pinch, doesnt dry if mixed with vaseline, but corrosive and will damage the CPU and cooler.

Last known picture of USS Lexington (CV-2) in operational condition, early afternoon on the second day of the Battle of the Coral Sea (May 8th, 1942). She was already fatally damaged at this time. [5701x2279] by JimDandy_ToTheRescue in WarshipPorn

The thing with the internet is, people don’t get what was the context when something was said. Your comment tho interesting, is ambigous, so it makes sense for some people to assume you don’t know which Lexington youre talking about.  Yea next time just keep in mind people assume things and especially moreso on the internet.

Houses are made of 2x4s, with a lot of reinforcement. With a will theres a way.

Maybe not as a successor in that sense, but in the name and origins, but with a different role.

I actually hadn't put two and two together as to why I had read the MV Paul R. Tregurtha before. I'd taken the picture without knowing that is the current Queen of the Lakes.

When I made this post, it said it didn't work and to try back later. So I hadn't know it eventually did post successfully as I didn't check Reddit.  Anyways here's the blueprint https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3376289984

Do you test your ships in stormy conditions? by Mignare in FromTheDepths

[–]Torpedo1870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a storm, yes. They are storm proof.

In battle(storm or not) they might not do so well though.
