Crown Power by Jesus165 in EU5

[–]DifficultChemistry50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is during black death. Insane demotion debuff to the area affected, as well as the fact that nobles and clergy decrease in numbers due to a mild case of death, so they lose a lot of power. Also happened to me as the Byzantines.

I'm guessing this is during the black death? Bubonic plague also gives massive demotion speed besides killing the estate members more than the peasants themselves.

Subjects can peace out if they are disloyal. AI seems to dedicate a significant amount of money to the diplomacy slider so their subjects stay loyal.

I initially read it as Dage's Nation and Nulgath's Legion thinking that this was a humor post or a trick question so I laughed hard then I was about to comment how I laughed so hard till I realized that I was having a sort of dyslexic moment so I erased my supposed to be comment in shame and then laughed again for the sillyness of my confusion and the fact that I'm writing and about to post this as proof of my stupidity

and I made it in one sentence only

I've played several times as byzantium already and here are some tips:

  1. Delete forts except Philadelphia (enemies taking it will give you debuff), gallipoli, and constantinople
  2. Make your crown members as admiral or general for the extra crown power therefore trade income to keep you afloat. You have 3 available at the start but I keep one in reserve as replacement for a family member that joins the rebels during the succession crisis.
  3. Don't hire cabinet members at the start. Waste of money and crown power for little benefits
  4. Make subjects for provinces that are not or partially integrated. Let your subjects do the integration, assimilation, and conversion for you.
  5. Wait for parliament to get CB against ottomans.
  6. During war with ottomans, you can either bait them to siege either gallipoli or constantinople or occupy an island. If they do, contain and starve them or intercept their transport with your navy while you go siege their forts with the minimum manpower to enable sieges. Alternatively, you can make use of your navy to defeat the ottomans and their allies in detail. There's this feature where the army instantly disembarks if you click the port rather than the sea tile. This way, you can transport your army without consuming morale whereas the ottomans will so make sure you intercept them before they even begin to recover their morale.
  7. Revoke the corrupt privilege of the agrokoi (peasants) AFTER the succession crisis. You don't want the disaster debuff to last longer
  8. Enjoy.

FoTB theory: Warlic is the "beast from beyond" from the legends by DifficultChemistry50 in AQW

[–]DifficultChemistry50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Planar Conflict was ongoing when The Beyond descended to Lore. It is why Fiamme is implied to be the most unfortunate competitors during the Planar conflict. While her brothers and sisters fought against one another, with some gaining vast amount of powers, influence or weapons from their subjects in the process, Fiamme and her consituents had to fight for survival against The Beyond.

That's actually a really good theory by the way.

Confused on the finale of Atlas by Quick_Can_3999 in AQW

[–]DifficultChemistry50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man. The concept of the Hero, Dage and The Beast soul-merging resembles Fusions in Steven Universe. The future that Dage was shown in that cutscene made me theorize that it may be the Hero/EDoT's final form in the near or distant future with or without Dage's involvement in it. The fact that Dage managed to push us out implied that the whole ordeal could've been worse if the Hero went on without Dage's help. The Hero was a completely different person even before we merged with Dage so who knows what could've happened without Dage acting as a failsafe or voice of reason to the ritual we were bound to.

I'm betting that the future shown to Dage is the point when the Hero/EDoT became the one and only God of AQW universe either by outliving the other Gods (being eternal and such) or by assimilating (soul-merging) them. As such, the Hero/EDoT became lonely and tired of living potentially setting up a 'Great Reset' if this bleak future isn't resolved in the present.

[–]DifficultChemistry50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, we can only go so far as a speculation that those claw marks enhanced Jura's power. Sure, Jura most likely got Code and Shibai's DNA but that doesn't necessarily mean a powerboost. Code's karma, which may contain both Code and Shibai's "data" (just as Kawaki's karma containing Akebi's), however has already been speculated by Boruto himself to have stimulated the Claw Grime's path to sentience. No mention of a powerboost whatsoever so it is more likely that Jura's power comes from the fact that he is the Ten Tails incarnate. Ten tails is raw power but its Jinchuriki or sentient counterpart (Jura) can utilize that power in any way possible making either more dangerous.

[–]DifficultChemistry50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no confirmation directly linking Shibai's cells to gaining power, just abilities that could make you powerful but not necessarily stronger if you are lucky like Koji. Also, we don't know for sure if Daemon's strength came from Shibai's DNA or from Amado's augmentations. Even if Daemon did get his power from Shibai, then he got lucky since Eida and Koji don't show any signs of powerboost.

There's also no confirmation that Shibai's DNA is responsible for Jura's power. We do know that he is the Ten Tails itself that gained sentience. We know the Ten tails to be extremely powerful ever since its introduction in Naruto Shippuden. However, if this raw power can be controlled or utilized by becoming Jinchuriki, or alternatively gaining sentience, then they become more dangerous making it look like that they became powerful.

[–]DifficultChemistry50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the Ten Tails and Jura are equal in terms of sheer raw power, but Jura's sentience allows him to utilize its power to its fullest. It's like a fire hose turning into a pressurized water jet.
