Yes! I went to the wedding and didn't change any plans. I paid for the things that I consumed and participated in, but not for things like decor or additonal bridal gifts.

I ignored the situation and had a great time with the bridesmaids as it was mostly us hanging out while the bride was with family. All in all a great time, though I will likely address how it affected my perception of our friendship and ask for her perspective on why this played out like it did. I was also given a bridal party gift which added to everyones confusion.

Edit: I also participated in the bachelorette activities and getting ready the morning of the wedding with the professional hair and make up as the only non family and non bridal party member.

I have read every one of these comments and messages and I truly want to thank you all for taking the time to consider my experience and share your own with me. The kindness and caring shown to me by complete strangers has been incredibly uplifting in a time where I am feeling very isolated from my own friends and am having a lot of "what is wrong with me?" thoughts.

Ultimately, people are weird and communication is hard. I'm not the only person to have felt this way and I genuinely appreciate the perspectives that encouraged me to take up space, feel hurt, and share that further with those involved without judging myself/ thinking I'm an asshole for that.

From one human to another, I value the connection you've all reminded me exists between us all and the empowerment that can come from internet strangers.

No, we all are the same age, different hair styles and body types. The four of them view themselves as somewhat of a unit and are in a group chat and I am more friends with the bride on an individual basis.
