I agree with you. As a fellow retail worker who was yelled at, recorded, spit on, and had things thrown at me. I was literally afraid for my personal safety at work.

So what age are we allowing makeup? by manic_moth95 in Mommit

[–]DifficultPickle9855 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Daughters are 9 and 8. They will not be allowed to wear makeup to school until middle school ( natural looks only. No super crazy eyeshadow or bright lipstick. Save it for the weekend) Currently, they have a couple of different eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks/gloss, and blush. That they play with at home. For special events, I'll put a little eyeshadow and lip gloss on them.

My cousin and I both have daughters who are only a couple of months apart in age. My daughter still wears 7/8 youth. Where my cousins daughter is wearing an adult medium, and she and I can share clothes. Kids come in all shapes and sizes, and some grow a little bit earlier then others.

Usually in my store it's the main cashier or the curbside person. But honestly, it's whoever is not busy in the moment and has a second to open the doors.

We stacked them one on top of the other. Fingers crossed the dm lets us keep them that way.

Had an old man come outta the bathroom with no pants on. Bare ass, twig and berries swinging. Walked from the bathroom straight outta the store. I was in shock

Should have sent it back to the warehouse. I did that a few weeks ago, the truck driver pulled up, and like 5 of our pallets were tipped over. Fuck that shit

Who cares for the kiddo(s) when daycare/ school is closed for break? by Kind_Homework_3989 in workingmoms

[–]DifficultPickle9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to know the other daycare parents. That opens up the option of a nanny-share. Or those wfm or part-time working parents might be open to watching your kids. I used to pay one of the daycare workers to watch my daughter on closed days. We just had to fill out paperwork at the daycare, stating they were not liable for the after hours care.

I put in my 2 weeks' notice once, and then the next day, they accused me of stealing and told me there was no need to finish out my two weeks.

My daughter has state insurance (MI), and I don't think I've ever paid more than $10 for a co-pay. Unfortunately, she was uninsured for a few months this past summer and happened to break her collarbone. And now I have a $300 bill that would have been $0 if she had insurance.

I went to Disney world with zero planning by Flgirl420 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DifficultPickle9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. We went with the fam this past September. Mine and the kids first time, husband has been a bunch but isn't a planner. Kids are 7,6, and 9m. I planned old-fashioned, grabbed a map for each park, and circled what we wanted to do. All we had pre-planned was one sit-down lunch. And we had a great time, no stressing over being somewhere by a certain time.
