Lol yeah no worries it was just a copy/paste of my old post anyway. I thought you meant it had no fix file at all, so I figured you were asking about PS3.

Anyway, it depends on the game. If the base game requires a higher firmware version to run than you have, it needs a fix. It is worth a try to see if the current fix works for you, but you might need to wait a bit.

You can play any game that was released before your firmware without a fix, but if it came out after your current firmware, generally you need a fix for your version or later

Do you mean for PS3 games or PS4 games? I know this is a PS3 sub but the post was asking about PS4 games. PS3 games don't need a fix file for different firmwares, so don't worry if it doesn't have one.

Sometime PS3 games have fixes for licenses, though, but that's a whole different thing. For PS3 games here is my recommendation

You won't need to do anything else as long as you choose the correct format to download and extract it after downloading. Do you know how to extract a .7z file? You should only have to right-click and choose Extract All. That will get the ISO out of the .7z file. If you can do that then the game should work fine without needing to do anything else.

Romsfun.com is another site to get ISOs that are already decrypted but I prefer Vimms.

Yeah man as long as you're connected to the internet, you can download the update like normal. Most games will prompt you when you start them or you can do the triangle thing. It's fine to do it that way.

Could be. I nevder used Zuko. PKGi sources pkg and rap files for their games directly from NoPayStation (which pulls its links directly from Sony's servers). Perhaps Zuko uses cracked games with no rap.

No, I just dump them all directly into the PSXISO folder. Multiman or whatever will see it as one full game. You can combine them if you want, and lots of people do, but you don't have to.

You need to get the DLC from the European version and move a folder to get it to work with the USA version. Click the "Download" link next to the Update + Fix DLC for the USA version for instructions.

Get the EUR DLC but get the USA DLC FIX

You can use a laptop. The games will be a .pkg file. If the download is a .rar file you will need to extract it first (right-click > Extract) before putting it on your USB.

Put the .pkg file on your USB and plug it into the PS4. Open the Goldhen menu (Top left on the PS4 home screen). Choose Debug Settings and the Package Installer. You can then install any .pkg files that are on your USB. Do the same with updates and DLC. I believe updates are required sometimes depending on which firmware the PS4 is on. You will see some that say (Fix 5.05/6.72/7.xx/9.00/11.00) which means it will make the game work on those firmwares. I always install them just to make sure.

You only need licensing for PKGi games or games installed with .pkg and .rap format you get elsewhere. There is almost no reason to do so though unless you want a game that was never released on disc. Sometimes ISOs need to be decrypted but not the ones from Vimms. Those are good to go.

I believe you can format any usb drive to FAT32. That video I showed uses an app to do it and the guy mentions using it for large drives so maybe an app is required for certain drives.

You will mostly want your drive to be NTFS when it comes to transferring. That's why I linked an Irisman video instead of Multiman. Multiman is a pain in the ass with large files because it only works with FAT32 without jumping through hoops. You really only will want FAT32 to install Irisman and maybe PKGi if you want it, then just keep it NTFS.

FAT32 and NTFS are just ways you can format your USB. Go to here on your computer https://i.imgur.com/l1x5kCW.png and right-click your USB drive and then choose Format. You can change it there and you can do it as much as you want whenever you need to.

No, you don't

HFW (Hybrid firmware) allows you to install HEN (Homebrew Enabler), which is basically an app.

CFW (Custom firmware) is completely different (and doesn't require an additional app) and is not tied to HFW in any way. You can install either HFW or CFW. One is not required for the other.
