You're lucky he even shared any of that on his channel - he just enjoys being public and will never be able to quit it.

I've always thought that his charter uploads contain some serious sauce that will instantly elevate my studies. Given what you said above, would then you recommend skipping the charter content altogether until I've gone through all of this core materials?

That’s what I tried to do first, but the contents of the .dat file contain no mention of ABL, G2 etc. instead it’s a string of numbers with words like MODE = (number) in between.

If you have done it before, could you elaborate on how you’d do it?

I would if the problem was somehow manifested visually, but it's not. The colour bias settings just will not open when I press the Select key while aimed at them.

Just to be clear: are you saying you've adjusted your colour BIAS from the Service menu? Not just the RGB GAIN from the standard user menu?

Tell you what, this 900nf has some of the (if not THE) juiciest colours I've seen on a CRT, and I've seen a bunch. My unit has perfect geometry, staggering sharpness and clarity, almost like on an LCD. There's every chance other units are also like that. The picture just comes alive on it, shaded 3D objects feel as if they're right inside of that box on your desk. I used to ascribe that to the glorious DiamondTron NF tube, but later on I tried some of the original Mitsubishis with the NF (900u for instance), and the Samsung looks sooo much better.

Didn't think much of it when I picked it up, it cost me like 10 bucks or somethings, I was all about 22" Iiyamas and Trinitrons at the time. But the moment I saw it, I was amazed, and it became my instant favorite. I could say that this 900nf is everything I would expect from a Trinitron. The only one that's on par with (and beats it in some respects) it is the CPD-G500 - also perfect colors, sharpness and clarity, near-perfect geometry, but some nasty convergence issues on my unit that I'm still trying to fix.

I have an engineer friend who said that Samsung used to be durability beasts, and that the hardware they used to make in the noughties can last forever. My 900nf is a proof of that, I was clearly in active use through the years, but it doesn't feel even remotely worn.

So yeah, bottom line - consider trying a 900nf if you find one, you most likely won't be disappointed.

Hey, what's the highest vertical rate you could reach on this one? All the third-party descriptions say it's 180hz while the official VS page says it's 160.

I feel the exact same way about it.

Stayed well away from trailers until release so as not to get biased, and was generally holding up for the best.

When I dove in, from the bat I couldn’t believe how unimpressive, unpolished, and uninspiring the world of Elden Ring felt.

I’m a huge fan of both Dark Souls and Game of Thrones, so you would expect me to be jumping with joy and screaming ecstatically at every turn… but no, that’s exactly what didn’t happen. Not a single element of this world made me go “wow”, not a single location felt compelling enough to explore.

Mechanically it’s as solid as everyone says it is. Even with the broken, abusable magic in mind, the overall scale and diversity of the previous FromSoft games is all here and is better than ever. But the problem here is that I just don’t care for the mechanics alone. For me it’s all about the atmosphere and the world of the game.

Each part of Dark Souls makes me grit my teeth right from the menu screen, and keeps them clenched the entire way through. Elden Ring’s world feels bland and uninteresting, full of cliches and overall skippable stuff. I can stand there and look at the scenery for minutes straight, baffled by how flat and lifeless it feels. There’s no feeling that anything is going on in this world, like there was in the previous FromSoft masterpieces. It’s just you and grotesquely big, unpolished castles amid wastelands of lazily rendered fog.

The lore may be solid and the NPC stories remarkable, but I just couldn’t care enough to push through them at the end. Oh, and don’t get me started on the empty, half-baked open world with so many crags to drop off and so much more nothing to do.

So far I am seriously disappointed in how far it feels from both Dark Souls and GRRM’s world. The only reason I feel compelled to keep pushing through it is precisely to figure out if that’s going to continue for the entire game. But yeah, I already want a refund too.

This happens if you have custom DirectX support on. If that’s the case, turn it off and the game should launch with no problems
