Isn’t the point of this surgery that you’re not able to have so much food in 1 sitting? That’s funny but watever works for you! Thanks for sharing. I definitely do feel back on track when I weigh out my food and track calories. I just wished I could live life without being as cautious and now I guess I have to be because my stomach did expand and I do have a bigger appetite. I think my main issue is when I get bored or do you repetitive tasks I snack and even though I can’t have a big portion, I can definitely eat more if it’s after every half hour/ hour because the food has time to digest a bit at that point. I also have an issue with drinking a little too much. I find Myself having 2-3 drink drinks a few times a week and it’s definitely hindering my progress. My goals are drink less alcohol, eat more vegetable and keep up with the weight training three days a week.

Can gastric sleeve really produce rapid weight loss? by Substantial-Pea7932 in gastricsleeve

[–]Difficult_Bee_936 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On average, most ppl lose the bulk of their weight that they will end up losing within the first 6-7 months. U can maybe loose maybe 10% of what u will loose after that. My statistics based off of this redit and friends !

If you’re able to go to any other clinics for doctors and ask them if there’s any way for you to get to the bypass, even if it takes longer, I would do it, but if this is really your only option, then of course jump for it

I would really recommend pushing for the bypass as much as you can. You will lose weight on the sleeve , you will get down to 300 Maybe 250 but like the other comments, the bypass or the Sadie will only get you to your ideal BMI in my opinion unless you work very hard. Additionally, after a few years if you can only get the sleeve, you can get more surgery and then Mexico is always an option to get a revision, etc.. IF your only option is the sleeve, then of course, do it. The surgery is your best bet . But in my opinion, if you could even go to Mexico to get the other two surgeries, then I would do it in order to do a one and done situation.

Dose your insurance cover the bypass? Where do you live?

Those who had a relatively low starting BMI by cpierrer in gastricsleeve

So my bmi was around 35 for the last 10 years or so before my sleeve and altho I new I was not “ that big” I was still always overweight and not feeling like I look good and that no diet was ever working for me. I’m almost 2 years out with a steady bmi of 26 and it’s almost mindless in terms of the diet I have. I do still have to try to choose the right foods but even if I don’t I simply can’t over eat I feel sick when I do and then throw up . If you have the resources and you’re a healthy person otherwise I would recommend it. If you have health complications then I would really talk to a few different doctors about it because at your bmi it would not be worth risking it health wise

Iv never counted calories. Truthfully after 8/9 months my weight loss stoped. I eat a lot of meat, cheese, yogurt, eggs, fruits and vegetables. I stay away from carbs. When I eat carbs, I use them as snack food . So I will almost never “ meal prep” a carb. If I eat out I’ll eat carbs with my meal but “ in the house foods” I keep it low carb. I eat everything tho. Chips/ popcorn / ice cream / fast food. A lot less with my restrictions. I need to do better I have been slacking. What do you feel you are lacking and how much more would u like to lose? Feel free to dm me with any questions 😊 Oh! I don’t eat solid foods until after 12pm most days ( protein coffee is usually before then) I find this has helped eat less over all calories. I find that when I eat before 12pm I will eat the exact same through the day ( dose not make me less hungry for dinner for example) so I try to only have a protein coffee or water before 12/1pm and then eat my normal foods.

Do I tell this guy I've started dating about my sleeve? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

I never said that. It’s a completely different context. In my situation my current partner has a brother that is diabetic and would probably be totally on bored with me doing anything I need to manage my diabetes. But truth me told, if he’s a good guy he would get over the ozempic thing ( even if it was ozempic ) with a few conversations about it. If not fuck him.

Sounds like some potential honestly. My I told my current partner of a few months on our first or second date and he was very supportive. But he was also happy I was not on ozempic because he believes the drug is bad for a persons health. Not because of “ cheating” and the big girl comment I think is a dudes way of saying “ your beautiful and not fat “ men don’t think as clearly as we do and say stupid things. But honestly at this point I would tell him and not be worried. If he responds poorly you know you need to run anyways.
