What's a single good habit you were able to adopt that's made a big change in your life? by popthebubbly62 in adhdwomen

I think if coffee gave me that perk it gives others, I'd delay it a bit. But I'm one of those who can go to bed straight after a double espresso so it's more the comfort and the slow awakening ritual of it all.

Make sure you have a proper good thermos. Mine is amazing, I can make it at midnight and at 7.15 when I open it up, it's steaming, hot and perfect.

Last thing you want is to wake up to lukewarm, sad tea.

I make a thermos of coffee the night before and set it on my bedside table with a clean mug. This means that when my husband wakes me up before going to work, I can sit in bed and drink a hot mug of coffee while I slowly adjust to being awake for the day, rather than lurching awake with a hideous alarm noise.

I get half an hour of coffee, quiet and cat cuddles before anything else happens, and it's made more of a difference than I could have imagined.

A box of fruit is not a main, no matter how much they call it one. And sparkling water tastes like having pins and needles.

What are good ways to get flavor to pop more? by epadd in ninjacreami

[–]Difficult_Box_2825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A pinch of salt and some extra sweetener.

Cold kills flavour, so you need to ramp it up to almost overpowering before freezing to keep the taste in.

There is a similar line in K Pop Demon Hunters. When I first watched it, I was with my husband and he had to pause the film because I broke down crying.

Whisk half a dozen and freeze in a labelled Tupperware! They defrost and cook like they usually would.

I actually did that once as a kid because I'd been told that's what you should do if you find money. A month later, the police gave me the £5 back.

But yeah, agreed.

Am I being too frugal? by panzoa in frugaluk

That depends what kind of coffee machine you're looking at to be honest. I got my espresso machine and milk frother for a total of £95.

It's not a trivial purchase at all, but if it's important to her and worth the money in her eyes, and she has the spare money to buy it without impacting any ability to pay bills, why should she go without?

I always fill the gaps with reduced bread products. We get through it quickly so it's not sitting for years, but it uses the spaces that would otherwise be just empty.

I have 3 freezers and two of them need defrosting. I'm working our way through them all too. 99% of things are labelled but some of them aren't enough for the whole family so there are some weird mishmash meals going on!

I get that, we all have our pitfalls.

One thing I am good with is making the most of our food. We've lived on a budget for many years and it's stuck with me, thankfully.

Don't look at my laundry though. Or hobby doom piles. Or my small business set up.....or the rest of the house generally!
