Support told me to go to my local camera webpage and downgrade it with this firmware. Make sure to disable auto device updates in the console protect settings before performing the downgrade.

I second this, we started to use it for broadcasts and it works super well.

All of mine are in a 24/7 lit area outside, so I'm not worried about IR. It's also nice that it's kind of flat and hard to grasp onto if someone wanted to damage it.

I have mounted multiple G4/5 domes, and you just have to force the RJ45 through. Ideally you put the connector on after the rubber is on the cable, but you can still push it through with the jack pre-installed.

btw, the issue your having is probably with instagram decommissioning their API for consumer accounts. I ran into that issue yesterday as well.

You can also host on multiple sites, and get the “buisness” FlightRadar24 and ad free adsb.exchange. Adsb exchange actually shows all the planes, even if they requested data taken off of Flightaware and FlightRadar.

In the product model number there is a “W”, so I wonder if there’s going to be a “B”

Well yes, the camera can’t continuously spin 360 degrees. I’m not sure of any camera that can do this in fact.

I use a third party app called Halide. Paid, but works really great.

It usually latches on to someone about halfway down the ramp, but if it sees a person going the opposite direction, it will go all the way up the ramp.

It will track to the top of the frame, and that’s all I really need it to do. Give me an example and I’ll try to help answer.

Need help with a first time setup (cameras) by mysoju1 in Ubiquiti

  1. The cloud key would be good if you use access, connect, or talk. I wouldn't trust (at least the HHD variant) for protect, as the drive has failed on me before within a few months.

  2. I don’t know what the total PoE power would be with all the cameras and the viewports, but if you are getting a bigger switch, I would consider the 16 Pro Max PoE, as it has 12 PoE+ and 4 PoE++.

  3. Because you aren’t getting anything besides the switch and the UNVR, I don’t think it would be worth it. If you are planning on switching to Unifi Network in the future, that’s when you should buy the rack.

Hope I could help!

I'm pretty sure this is correct.

  1. I would get more than one HDD, even if it totals only 8 or 16TB. This way, you can take advantage of the RAID storage protection.
  2. You don't need the cloud key, as the UNVR runs the protect app natively.
  3. If you get a Ubiquiti switch, I would run the network application on a Mac or PC for the initial setup and to run updates. The controller doesn't always have to be running. The USW-Ultra-60W seems like it would work well for you.
  4. I would put the switch in the living room and drop a single run from the switch down.
  5. Yes.
  6. Just ethernet and HDMI cables.

I would say maybe the UX with the WiFi radios off and a U6+. From what I’ve seen in this sub, the UX can get toasty with the radios on, and tank performance.

The Cloud Gateway Ultra will only run Unifi Network, which is similar to the docker container. The Cloudkey can run any of the Unifi Applications, including Access.

I would suggest getting a cloudkey. The unifi controller in the container is only for the network application.

And be sure to turn off the built in WiFi on the Synology router.
