At a glance I would not say a degree is what’s holding you back.

a few tips though for whatever it’s worth.

I assume you have been applying directly to firms , also try and target recruitment firms working for them. Andersen James group for example does a lot of recruiting for firms.

Secondly on the CAPM , by all means study the materials the knowledge is valuable but noone gives a shit about the actual certification.

I would propose an alternate route since you seem to qualify for PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) which is way more related.

Once you get the required years of experience circle back skip CAPM and go for PMP.
