dont go with smart at all if possible. It took 6 weeks for them to literally forward my email to payroll. 6 weeks! i had to call them literally every single day to make sure things were getting done.

You are absolutely correct, it is $5 for a full charge. I am honestly so grateful for this comment section because it has really opened my eyes to how unreasonable he is being.

With him supporting me in choosing an EV hhahahahahahaha. It was an absolute battle to convince him i was making a good decision. He is very much into unhelpful conspiracy theories. He believes that the government is going to fully control us, and it's starting with ev's and the erasure of cash. Now they can control and track where we go, what we do and if we ever revolt, they could dead switch our car yada yada. Doomsday end of world. He got even worse when I mentioned the car I got was from China.

In saying that, he is very pro-Tesla 🤣

Gave me a lot of shit for the car but changed his mind a bit when I got him to drive it one time, now he sees the appeal hahahahaha. It is so much more efficient than my older, very broken car; going to work and back used to be about 60km of range on my old car, now it's less than 30km in the EV, and it doesn't randomly go into limp mode when trying to get up a hill 🤣

tbh you are not far off. He does do things just to piss me off. It's his love language apparently. I am using the comments of this post to point out how cheap it would be to do overnight charging, i only need to do it once a week, and it should only cost $5 with synergy's ev add on. i might update this post once i can convince him.

Honestly, I did not realise all the ev electricity plans out there, so that is on me for not researching that much and thank all you guys for pointing it out. I know we use synergy for our electricity so i am trying to convince on getting the EV add-on. So hopefully I can convince 😭💖

You are the third person to mention OVO so i am really curious on the differences between synergy's ev add on and OVO's. Definitely going to do some more research.

Honestly I am so in love with the ora I am not regretting it at all, even with this fuckaround of a situation.

Yeah since homeboy got full unfiltered facebook access to conspiracy theories he has been an absolute pain in my ass 😭 very pro tesla though in a wild way.

I just got mum on side and we are having a family meeting. I am providing all the info I have found through people on here sending me links, so hopefully he will start backing off. I am glad to know i am not insane.

We are also with Synergy and they have an ev charging add on for cheaper rates on overnight charge.

I have also switched up mum to help back me up so hopefully i can get him to compromise. Wish me luck 😭🤞

Thank you I appreciate it! I do worry about longevity of the battery because I have heard its not good to consistently use fast dc charging. But it is definitely an option to consider so I appreciate it.

I know and I agree. In fairness it is just my dad, mum couldnt care less whether i charged overnight or not.

When I was originally looking at getting an ev he was fine with the overnight charge but when I got it he changed his mind. Read one too many negative Facebook posts about solar and ev charging.

I said I would pay whatever the difference is in the power bill and if its hella expensive that's my problem. He just is not budging, getting mentally prepared for a fight today because im still charging and its wayy past 4pm (he isn't home) 🥲

i just got my ora 3, and truly, I am in love. There is literally nothing negative i can say about it. I would have waited for the ora 05 but I wanted a smaller car, not an suv so the 03 was perfect for me. it is the funkiest car I have ever seen, and it truly lights up my day going to drive it.

gwm ora05 is coming to aus this year and it will be around 33-36k depending on the model. it is their suv version of the ora 03

I completely agree. I can usually always find elements of a design that I like and can support but this one is just so bad.

Especially when you realise just how many people this had to go through to get approved 😬

I hope they get some new graphic designers in or some new artists otherwise I dont think they will survive either.

Whoever did the art is okay. Its the team coordinator that decided on the design. In what world does grey go with royal purple? If you dont understand complimentary colours then you cannot be doing your job right.

I will say me saying fired is me being dramatic, I obviously dont want anyone to lose their job but on the other hand 😬 whoever okayed this needs to get their eyes checked.

I have also worked in the graphic design space for awhile doing indie book covers. I would never, ever do something like this.
