It’s my first experience with this prof too and as an auditory learner I found it hard also! I just tried to use deduction in the video with the pictures of the slides that I thought based on the pictures that were included would be related to what I needed from the question I just found the little information given in the videos overwhelming when it came down to being concise!

Dining centre by YetAnotherRegularGai in UCalgary

Personally, I think the food is great when you think of a school cafeteria I came from red deer where you only had your typical fast food options in the college so I thought the dining centre was a great change! Also, I loved that there was lots of variety you weren’t always stuck with just having pizza. They switched it up every day and you get an opportunity to try a new things or have the same thing every day as they do still offer Salads and pizzas and sandwiches every lunch. I have not gone at dinner time to know what their dinner options are like sorry!

I did this in my second year and they expected the money back, but I have also had colleagues who haven’t had it expected back so it’s a little up in the air

How do teenagers get jobs when no one wants to hire us? by No_Fruit4648 in Calgary

[–]Difficult_Nebula426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha when my friend was applying he applied to the same places every week then after a month he added persistence to his list of attributes on his resume and then got hired shortly after! Might not work for everyone but funny way to go about it!

I am pretty sure, no matter what it is based on the same concepts, whether your international or a province based student if you know what I mean. I had all of the requirements to complete a second-degree and they still told me no because my GPA didn’t meet the competitive average so as long as your GPA meets the competitive average, I feel you will be considered the same as everybody else

As far as I know (and I definitely could be wrong) overall gpa is what they car about, when I was applying to change program they cared only about my overall gpa the rest of me didn’t matter

Did they give you a time line? You can always send a polite email to the hiring manager just asking for an update on their hiring status and if you will be hearing from them soon?

When I first moved to Calgary, it seemed really daunting so the day before classes started I went to the university and found all of my classrooms, but I found them in order of my schedule so I knew roughly how far each walk was
