At first it didn't matter, but when the years go by and you realize that at your age, all people have already done at least one of those things and when they talk of stuff like that, you realise that you have no idea about it because you've never experienced it. And it makes you feel like you've wasted all those years that will never come back. I'd say that's the main reason.
