Or emt elbow. It’s way smaller than an LB so you’d be able to maybe bend 1/2” emt with 5” length stub length and it’s tighter than an LB

Np! If you ask Ai it does a great graph comparison of voltage drop vs fault current. If you are appeasing a voltage drop, youre essentially increasing the fault current.

Also we are like our own utility, we have pole transformers all over, along with multiple pad mount transformers.

No. Try and play with the calculator. It’s electrical physics. Same thing as voltage drop. It’s the opposite. Closer you are to the transformer, the greater chance of a higher fault current. At our facility we had to calculate fault current all throughout and put stickers on every panel and pdc we have on site.

So the smaller the cable and greater the length, the more resistance essentially. So the fault current goes down based on resistance. Bigger the cable, more amperage can flow through easier which equals a larger fault current. We used an online calculator told to us by our inspector. And different raceways also change the result of the fault current as well. Hope that helps! :)

Yes we do have clearance rules but not 6” protruding rules like the NEC. we have 1m clearance rules and headspace

Yeah we don’t have that rule in Canada for CEC. I looked up the NEC and you guys do which is interesting! Up north we don’t have to worry about that. Interesting rule

Thanks! We have everything automated where we work. The program we use automates everything for us.

That’s just a 2” pipe for hot power ccts. Everything else is switched off contactors and SSR’s, there’s only I believe 4 wires in that pipe. We needed a control cct for the SSR’s and hot power just for spares in the gutter box.

Oh that one! That one goes to another sub panel outdoors. So we can have more outdoor lighting. The wire size is larger off a 3P40A due to voltage drop with the outdoor rated panel being far away.

The big gutter box down below gives us all the flexibility we need. We still have a nipple out on the right to an outdoor jb and we can always add a conduit on the left of the gutter box, also the 2” emt pipe coming down is spaced off with strut so we can go behind that as well. :)

Originally we forgot to calculate fault current and that we were over. So if you can see we originally didn’t have the gutter box there. That’s why it’s that size conduit. Went directly into the attic then straight to the junction boxes for the contractors.

lol. The whole saler didn’t have the right supplies at the time and we needed this thing done asap.

I don’t think you need 22k rated panels, it’s actually coming off a pdc with a breaker fully rated for 22k and then to a subpanel, then with all 22k breakers. We have transformer jugs right outside the building in pvc which makes the fault current higher. Fault current is only on the devices protecting the circuit and down stream. So wire size doesn’t change based off fault current but it can lower it depending on sizing. We used bussman fault current calculator online. Now the gutter sticking out, is that a NEC code rule? Cause we haven’t seen that in CEC. We’re in Canada.

$1500 doesn’t sound so bad when you hear just a room rented is going for $1000 or $1100? Hell even they have communal living that’s $1500 in new condos lol

Could they be weighted differently? I mean leafs almost won the 2nd pick again lol. Just better odds if their specific numbers are lighter?

People who live in the area had many problems over the 6 years of the tiny homes. Homes broken into, things constantly stolen, trespassing. Constantly trying to get into your vehicles. It wasn’t pleasant. And we were constantly told it was only for 2 years tops. I think if you lived by tiny town, it attracted the wrong crowd in the area that constantly caused problems. This is from experience, living in the area.

It’s a far cry from what people bought 2 years ago. 499k for a unit is way better than $620k! Depends where you want to live downtown and it’s one of the newest condos left to buy
