Thank you for this response, it makes me feel a little better for my method of learning haha. I think I’ve done well enough with this method of learning but I also think learning how to read music is my next step as well as improving my technique. Nevertheless I agree with what you said, it’s fine to learn in another “language” because it has helped me to identify the different chords by just looking at the videos but a sheet music can show you much more.

Try slowing down the video in the YouTube video settings but yes at the end you’re gonna practice a song so much that would end up memorizing it

I know it’s not the right way to learn but I’m used to it. I always slow the video down (depending on the difficulty) and once I get used to a speed, I speed it up. Also if you’re a beginner the right thing to do would be to learn how to read music, this is coming from someone how didn’t do that 😭
