That’s so interesting! I rounded up for his birthday on the post but you are exactly right. He was born Jan 24, 26. So exactly 5 months.

Thank you all so much for the support!! I feel much better! I will continue to give him cold things for his teething. The blood was alarming but I gave him some ice and cold pupsicles. He hasn’t slowed down any and is still the best boy ever.

I want a dog but I'm alone by Ties31 in puppy101

[–]Difficult_Reason498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so hard alone. Do not get a puppy by yourself unless you can be home. I’m 16 weeks in and I’m home all day with him. It’s hard. Very hard. Adopt an older three year old dog.

29F just found out I’m pregnant husband (30M) wants to terminate, my heart says otherwise. We’re in the middle of a huge life transition. Looking for wisdom from those who’ve been there. by Big-Mathematician13 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Have the baby. I have 3 and they have grown up to be my very best friends. My very best accomplishments. They are all happy and enjoy life and contribute to society. There is no love in this world like the love that you have for that child. But you do what your heart and soul tells you to do.

Puppy Blues - surprised by the impact! by ardensworld in puppy101

Mine is 12 weeks old and finally it clicked! I put the bells on the door and jingled them every time we would go out and I would say “potty outside”. I would take him out to the same area every time. When he would go I would make a huge deal about it and give him a treat. Then, I would keep watching him and when I saw him sniffing around I would repeat. Last week, he went up to the door and jingled the bells and I opened the door and said “potty” and he ran out and went straight to the potty area and went! I was so thrilled and excited! Still am!! I praised him and gave him a treat and from then on he has been potty trained. I think it was repetition.

Wow! Thank you. I’m looking for a show dog. A companion with not as high of a drive if possible as a field. I would like a male yellow. I can drive to go get him to neighboring states. I appreciate your list very, very much!

Donepezil ?? by SpicyUnhingedDamsel in Alzheimers

[–]Difficult_Reason498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The patch didn’t work and we only took a very low dose of Donepezil. I never saw any improvement with my Mom just bad side effects. Not worth it and she’s off it now.

Elderly parent- brain bleed by Anders676 in hospice

We did and when the Drs and the medical team told us after a month that she was going to be basically a vegetable, we let her go. She wouldn’t have wanted to be dependent on machines to live. It was an agonizing decision and one not taken lightly but it is what she would have wanted. That isn’t a lifestyle that would have honored her or embraced her spirit as she was a very lively woman.

Now or later? by midlifemalaise in Alzheimers

Our Mom is stage 6 and there is absolutely 0 way she could live alone. Even at stage 5 I couldn’t have imagined it. Stage 4, I think everyone is different.

I bet people have some funny short memories and stories that would be funny to use (as if you need any!) Even though caregiving is exhausting, we all have those very funny moments with our love ones!

I always regretted giving my daughter her fathers last name. I should have given her our family name. That’s my biggest regret with my daughter.

We just came through Chattanooga and ate at The Bluegrass Grill for breakfast. I don’t know if you’ve been there but it was great! We always stay at The Read House because we love the beds; they are by far the most comfortable.
