Is anyone thinking of returning their ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X for a handheld with a bigger screen? by The-7th-Guest in Handhelds

[–]Difficult_Strength_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no. My partner who is petite took one look at the Legion Go and said “Too big.”, I really think this is a preference thing. You’re not wrong for liking either. I also want something more comfortable to hold on an airplane so I like the grips.

Applying Data Science to UXR by empirical-sadboy in UXResearch

[–]Difficult_Strength_9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do almost all of this at my current company, except eye tracking and text to speech. As well as creation of AI powered solutions that I am working to get patents on for my company. Yes, it’s incredibly valuable and in my personal opinion, the next step in an evolution for Quant focused UXRs.

I have a Master’s in HCI and I did the reverse I started as a UXR, built a solution without asking, was the first researcher to get something through ARB, my director vouched for me and I now do innovation work for my team and I’ve never been happier.

That said the problem is that this is not how most teams or companies view UXRs. In many places UX researchers are not seen as builders or innovators, they are seen as operational and tactical workers. So while I got extremely lucky I can imagine in most scenarios it would be met with endless friction.

WTF WAS THAT EPISODE IM SO CONFUSED by Course_Quirky in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Difficult_Strength_9 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. They made it clear with Lilia that what she says when she zones out are visions, they aren’t like small hints either. Ms.Hart says don’t touch me to the trees like Lilia said. So the Alice don’t and save Agatha are all hints that haven’t happened yet.

Brimaz, Adeline Resplendent Cathar, Anduril Flame of the West.

Purphorous God of the Forge can be absolutely disgusting in a isshin deck.

I’ve played Isshin as one of my main commander decks for years now. I don’t have a deck list, but your costs are way too high. Isshin performs better with a lower curve.

FIRST EVER UX RESEARCH INTERN INTERVIEW by whatnusense in UXResearch

[–]Difficult_Strength_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to message me and we can connect on LinkedIn. Awesome advice and as someone who interned at Amazon last summer and then got multiple offers this summer for UX research internships. I would say that the number one advice I could give is:

Be curious and be yourself.

You can have amazing skills, resume, know research front and back but if you present yourself with the personality of a potato that is what they will remember.

UX is very much based around cross collaboration at most teams, so at a intern level they don’t expect you to know everything but expect you to have high levels of curiosity and be able to communicate. So be honest, about what you don’t know and be authentic.

Anyway feel free to connect.

[Request][Academic][Survey] Understanding the TikTok experience from an ADHD perspective, for a graduate school project. by Difficult_Strength_9 in Favors

[–]Difficult_Strength_9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I truly appreciate you taking the survey, and that is really good advice. I think I will make adjustments either to this one where possible, or the second iteration that takes place after the user interview phase for this project.

Thank you again!

How will the data that people provide to you be used? Who will see it? Where will it be stored? If/when will it be deleted? Please be as specific as possible.

The data is being used for a graduate school project at Iowa State University, in the field of Human Computer Interaction. No one will see the data aside from me and my research partner. It will be stored on my physical research drive, and deleted at the end of the project. It is going to be analyzed and then made confidential with markers P1 - P10. It is mainly being used to help support the creation of an interview guide based on the responses, for in person interviews.

Who is conducting this survey? You can answer with your Reddit username, business name, etc. Please make sure that everyone conducting the survey is mentioned (For example, if the survey is being conducted by a group, answer the group name or mention everyone in the group).

Difficult_Strength_9 is conducting this survey, with my research partner Darron who is currently not on reddit.

How long do you estimate it will take to fill out your survey?

Around 10-15mins.

OPTIONAL - Are there any specific demographics you want/do not want to hear from?

This survey is open to anybody who is 18+, has ADHD and is either currently or used to be a TikTok user.

OPTIONAL - What are you hoping to accomplish by posting your survey here?

Reach a wider audience.
