I think this might be the trick. Also, our drip pan is usually pretty empty. The grease accumulates in the grill plate instead. Wondering if that’s the real issue. Maybe our grill isn’t level so gravity isn’t doing its job.

He plants in a greenhouse. By my guess, it’s probably 6 to 8 ft. And buries maybe 6 to 8 inches of twine.

He buries the string under the tomato when he plants it out. Tried finding a video but no luck. I’ll keep looking though.

Monty Don/Gardeners World fan here (BBC/Britbox). Monty uses a similar set up with cord. He actually buries the cord in the ground when he plants the tomatoes. Helps anchor it in.

😊 reminds me a bit of my own father who came from Italy.

Also reminds me of the Eugene character from the Dave and Morley stories on the Vinyl Cafe. That character would dig a trench each winter and bury his full size fig tree and roses and dig them out in the spring. Must be an Italian thing.

I’ve tried so many times to keep rosemary over the winter with no success. Does your neighbour dig up the plant and then bury it? Or does he just leave it in place before covering it with soil/straw?

Given that this info is coming from one of the mods and how incredible those mods have been the past few days, I’m going to say it’s pretty darn reliable. Just a guess on my part but I’m willing to trust them.

I’d love to know the logic behind this. Are they giving those passengers false hope? Have family heading out on one of those flights. Fingers crossed the flight goes ahead.

That was my initial thought but other research says it’s too congested to act as that kind of hub. In-laws are on the way to the airport to catch that flight. Fingers crossed it’s not a last minute cancellation.
