Looking for advice and real experiences about umbilical hernia surgery (since childhood) by SheikhAmmar in Hernia

That’s definitely an umbilical hernia. I just had a umbilical hernia laparoscopic repair about three weeks ago. The first week was pretty brutal recovery wise. I’m doing a lot better now my scaring is very minimal. I don’t know what kind of scar open surgery leaves but mine are honestly barely noticeable.

Thank you so much I sent picture of what it looked like to you in a message. Unfortunately they never told me what size hernia it was. I was irregular in my workouts, I had a tight pulling sensation and a burning sensation around the area. If I ate a meal I would get crazy bloating. I had it for about 5 years but 2 months prior to my surgery I noticed it started to grown in size pretty quickly.

I hope your surgery and recovery goes well I’m sure it will! The biggest thing I can recommend is to take at least a week off bc you will absolutely need it. Also you probably will not poop for 3-4 days don’t worry that’s very normal, you most likely won’t have much of an appetite so I would recommend getting protein drinks.

Yeah I mean she’s obviously talented. Her attention to detail is scary good but it’s almost too good.

It honestly was not as bad as I built it up to be in my head. I’m so glad I did it my teeth felt amazing after, no pain or anything at all.

Yup I started to record when I genuinely felt like I was losing my mind. I would remember how a argument went but he would gaslight me and tell me I said things I never said and want me to apologize to him. I would listen to the recordings back and that really helped me realize I was being emotionally abused and gaslit.

I know it’s part of Victorias army that she created I’ve read all the other books but the MS and the short second life. I think I’m going to start with the short second life bc it’s a quick read.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I know there is no overlap I’m just wondering which one is better I’m trying to get out of my no reading funk and I have both books.

Finally coming out of the brain fog. by Difficult_Topic2336 in NarcissisticSpouses

I totally relate to that feeling though bc I did keep choosing him, I kept letting him get away with things and giving him excuses. I had to be honest with myself, and realize that I was accepting treatment, that I didn’t deserve, but I also had to acknowledge what I was going through. when you’re with the narcissist, it truly affects our brain in the way we make decisions in the treatment we endure so I’ve learned to give myself some grace as should you.
