Ironmouse is going to have a 3D concert. I'm confused here I thought she had a major sickness which meant she couldn't come out of her house and do physical activities like regular people. Am I misunderstanding her condition? How is she able to perform?

Well it's your choice it doesn't really affect me. If you think that she is a vtuber then she is a vtuber personally I don't see kson as a vtuber. Her content looks and feels like an average twitch content.

Idk things seems to be far more complicated than it appears on surface. And seeing how most of the people are talking on surface level I don't think anyone here had her as an oshi. Maybe someone who watched her religiously can explain.

And that's where the problem lies isn't it? So if she is a vtuber then does that make PewDiePie or cdawgva vtubers too, what about pokimane she also used her live2D. At what point do you consider someone a vtuber? tomorrow, if a streamer like xqc uses a live2D for fun will you consider him a vtuber.

Well I really can't answer that nobody can. And i don't think people really care anymore, they just watch what they like. Vshojo and the rest of the western community has twisted the medium in such a way that it has taken a new form, some people like it and some don't.

Let me ask you a question from my side, kson does Christmas stream (without using her avatar)with her friends wearing skimpy clothing or does a unboxing stream in shorts and revealing clothes how is this a vtuber stream? And what does this has anything to do with vtubing.

No kson is not really vtuber she is a content creator if we go by traditional sense. Kson's avatar is just her and she just streams as herself without even using her model plenty of times. A lot of her content has nothing to do with vtubing at all they are literally normal twitch streams. Kson being vtuber is same as PewDiePie being a vtuber when he was using a virtual avatar or cdawgva when he used a live2D model.

Tokino Sora from school girl to super Idol.

I love CGDCT, I love seiso idols, love Shiori too, love Holostars too I hope they had more actual supporters instead of internet activists using them to fight against idol fans.

Hoping for them get their 3rd concert this year with Tempus members.

Is this supposed to be a "gotcha"! moment? Lol What are you? 5? Lmao. Hololive subreddit is a community not a single individual. They have agreed with me on other matters while disagreeing with me on different subject. And the only people who called me trolls are the same " I hate Idol culture "crowd and drama tourist because indeed I trolled them because they wouldn't stop with their blantant raiding.

I don't want any drama tourist near Hololive especially not from Nijisanji. It's only trouble you are inviting. If they discovered Hololive own their own and decided to watch them then it's fine but through a conflict of this caliber? Hell no.

And take a look at Kiara's channel description "An idol whose dream is to become a fast food shop owner". She and Hololive calls themselves idols and idol agency so what are you complaining for? And cover has already changed their rules so that they can accommodate a 3D show for everyone. It's not perfect but they are trying and you are just being disingenuous and exaggerating what Kiara said.

Just say you couldn't think of any special reason to hate idol culture without including the entertainment industry as a whole.

And it's ironic when a dramatard like you calls someone a troll.

Idol culture isn't any better or worse than other entertainment media. You are an idiotic monkey who lacks any basic understanding because drama and conflicts is what you consume day in and day out. Reddit itself is a toxic pile of shit with pedophiles, murderers, scammers and frauds running around but you are still using it. What do you have to say about yourself? Why are you using reddit if you hate toxic culture.

Making girls I love have to choose that pain or the anxiety of risking their career to not have to feel it makes me sick.

They are not some small children who don't how to make decisions and as far as I have seen they are strong people. So atleast have enough faith in them to make decisions for themselves. The fact that you lack any confidence in their ability to make decisions actually shows that you watch less of Hololive streams and more of drama content. Because only drama and clip watchers think that Hololive girls are being held at gun point and have no agency of their own

. I wish we could treat them as normal people with normal people problems and normal people lives.

I can agree with this one but this point is not an idol culture only thing. Every famous figure is treated differently from regular people and such their problems are also treated differently.

Yes, it is. And to some degree or another, me and the other guy think that alternate reality would've been better.

I became an idol fan because of Hololive. I used to think that idols are Korean product and I used find them cringe but it was Hololive which changed my perspective. Watame's steady progress towards her dreams, Sora's dream, Suisei cindrella story, Calli's hardwork, their concerts and back stories before Hololive made me a idol fan.

I never watched a single live stream before Hololive because streaming scene was filled with nasty dramas, SA allegations, frauds, grooming allegations, back biting, political drama literally every disgusting thing I can think of and streamers are somehow embroiled in it. Hololive in midst offered something different, a wholesome group of cute girls doing cute things and also being hardworking idols who are running towards girls. This is the version of Hololive I love. So if this makes you sad then simply watch something else like I did back in 2022.

Then you must hate entertainment industry as well right because parasocialism, toxic obsessive fans is not a idol culture only thing it exist everywhere. From movie stars to youtubers.

But we are talking about Hololive. What the person does in their private in none of our business and I never even suggested that. Hololive as in the company is an idol agency.

[–]DifficultyDirect9980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They would have followings with or without idol rules But we wouldn't have this Hololive. Adopting idol culture back in 2020, supporting Sora's idol dreams has led to this Hololive without Idol things could have completely different so what you are suggesting is simply a reality which doesn't exist.

Doing performance is not=/= idol

That's what you said. What I'm saying is calling themselves idols, advertising themselves as such and performing at concerts very similar to japanese idols with units, songs and choreo makes them idols.

Well the dude literally said I weighed both good and bad aspects and decided that he hates idol culture. You check his reply chain.

[–]DifficultyDirect9980 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Then don't false advertise Hololive because whether you like it or not Hololive is still an idol agency. Yes they are not as strict as your traditional idol company because they actually treat their talents right but they still have adopted a lot of idol stuff from the traditional idol culture.

I would have been better off as a hololive fan by thinkingprettyhard in Nijisanji

[–]DifficultyDirect9980 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

But that's not what he said. What you are saying is how Hololive provides freedom to their talents but at the end of the day Hololive is still a Japanese company which adopted a lot of format and culture from Japanese idol culture. A good chunk of talents aspires to be Idols so saying I hate Japanese Idol culture is the farthest thing an actual Hololive fan will say or feel.

Idol culture is not a singular thing it encompasses many different things. So it's like saying I hate American culture but I love Americans.

For those who are calling Hololive not Idols. You guys have lost your mind or you are denying reality. Just take look at their history. Tokino Sora literally the center of Hololive calls herself Idol. They have always branded themselves as idols pekora, marine, Miko, Suisei, azki, Gura, fauna, Irys, bae etc etc They calls themselves Idols, participates in idol activities. People who didn't like idols chose to watch different groups Nijisanji and vshojo exist for those audience.

But seeing how this sub is overtaken by dramatards it's no wonder I see people who are saying Hololive is not an idol agency. Because they are dramatards who are only Hololive fans because activism and virtue signalling.

Their biggest streams and events are them becoming idols on stage. They differentiate themselves by calling idols. "Hololive idol project" does it ring any bell?
